I would suggest a word of caution before placing anything on the net. As for
Imagestation, when I started placing photos there you didn't have to sign in
to view the photos. I do not plan to argue who owns the pictures, and really
don't care. I do know that at any time I can go in and delete all the
cemetery albums that I have online as the pre say owner of these albums.
Which at this time I do not plan to do. Since I have 29 cemeteries online

Hi List,
I have recently received copies of the following two papers:
History and Genealogy of James and Sarah Shepherd 1812-1912
A History of the Family of James and Mary Shepherd 1815-1915
Both of these families were in Carroll County Ohio in the early 1800's.
They are decedents of three brothers who emigrated from Scotland to
Ireland (abt. 1680).
I will gladly do looks ups or exchange information.
The names James, John, Peter, George, William etc. are used in almost
every generation so please provide

Hi List,
I am researching the family of James Shepherd. He was born 1790 in
Ireland. He married Mary Reynolds in Ire on 27 Feb 1815. Later that
year they came to Carroll Co. OH where they raised a family of 13.
James is listed in Beers Biographical Record.
I am interested in finding his parents and siblings.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

I joined Imagestation just to see some of the cemetery photos. Just
a word of caution to anyone joining...
Imagestation offers you free storage space for your personal
photos. This seems like an attractive offer, but make sure you know
what you're getting into. You are giving away all rights to your
photos to Sony. As I read their agreement, you no longer own a
photo once it's placed on their site. You might want to carefully
read the agreement before posting any photos you care about.
Thanks,
Taj

I'd like to add my thanks and praise of Jean. I rang a number in Ohio to seek a birth certificate in 2001, I was fortunate enough to get Jean on the phone.
At the time I thought she was just a very very helpful County Court employee, she asked loads of questions about my names and places.
She mentioned various resources that were available. I got off the phone heartened about researching in a new country. I posted on a Scots list asking if anyone in Ohio would research for me in exchange for me doing
