Today a group from Amsterdam area spent the morning cleaning brush off the old part of Amsterdam Cemetery.
Brush and trees where cut and drug out to be loaded on a dump truck that Loudon Twp trustee Paul Simmons brought down to the cemetery.
Alot was done today and still alot needs to be done, we are working on getting it restored.
This cemetery is the site where 15 miners were killed in a mine explosion in 1910 and are buried in a mass grave. A fund raiser is under way to erect a "Memorial Stone" to the
the name sounds like Uhrichsville. Which is in Tuscarawas Co. and still
there, today.

Hi,
The "wonderful" Carroll Co Birth records only shows that this couple had two
children, Mary Elizabeth (married Shepherd) and Emma (married Unknown
Sterling).
According to the obituary on Dr. James Whitcroft (1882-1926), he was survived
by four sisters and one brother.
Could you please help me figure out the names of the children, etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
