Talking to the Carroll President right now. They have a rough draft of the
Rose Township one on the library shelf, but not ready to print. The Brown
Township is a ways off. She will look somthing up for you if you write.

Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has a quick access to the 1840 and 1850 Carroll
County census or index.
I would like to know if my following two families are living there at that
time.
Probably Lee Township
1840 - Jacob NARRAGONG, could be spelled Naragong/Noragong
1840 - Nicholas NARRAGONG, different spellings
1850 - Nicholas NARRAGONG, Naragong/Noragong, wife: Mary, probably 4 children
Thanks for any assistance

Hi, below is the write up used after this year's reunion.
BLAZER REUNION CONTINUES 80 YEARS OF TRADITION
The Annual Blazer family Reunion was recently held in Vets Park in
Carrollton. This year over 50 people attended. They came from MO, AZ, CA,
and KY besides the North Eastern Ohio area. This Reunion has been ongoing
since the 1920s. It includes the descendants of John and Mary Blazer of
Hanover Township, Washington County, PA. Most of the family moved to
Jefferson County before relocating in C
Nicky,
For 1840 there is a George in Lee township - Page 236. A Nicholas NARROWGONG
in London Twp. Carrol County - Page 265. Jacob is in Lee Twp. - Page 232. And
Samuel is in Carrollton - Page 201
There is no Nicholas Noragong or Naragong on the 1850 Ohio census CD#46. There
is an Alexander and Samuel Naragong in German Twp. Harrison County in 1850 Page
256 & 259.
I thought you might like the 3rd spelling.
I only have the indexes, not the census records.

Don Kear has just posted a listing of Civil War soldiers on the Carroll Co.
Website. If you have any information about those soldiers, or additions to
that list, please contact Don or myself. I have a second list of Civil War
soldiers that I'm currently compiling.
Also, if you have information on other soldiers from previous conflicts, I
would be interested in their names, as well. I do ask that the soldiers be
deceased -- especially those who fought in World War II -- in order to
protect their li

Does anyone have the date of death for Eliza Ellen Harrison HOOPES, b.
1858, who married William Martin Hoopes in Columbiana County in 1874 and
is buried with him in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Augusta Township? I am making
headway on her thanks to generous local helpers!
Many thanks for any assistance,
Mary Anne in Alexandria, VA
(P.S. -- My apologies -- I first posted this on the the Columbiana list
by mistake.)
