Hello, List.
I am searching for information on Thomas LEACH and John LEACH. Both were
born in Ohio around 1828-1829. John was born in Clermont County, but I
don't know the township. I am hoping that Thomas was born there too. They
could be brothers or possibly cousins. John had a sister named Nancy Jane.
We know that John's father died and by 1850 his mother had remarried a James
Lambert and they were listed in the census in Indiana. Any help you could
give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The Ohio Historical Society has a death index available online. It lists a
John T. BENNETT DOD: 16 Mar 1931, Certificate #21215, Vol. #6574. You can
order the certificate from them at 1982 Velma Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43211. I'm
not sure what the price is.
Isn't the internet wonderful!!

I'm struck with what a great group, and how much combined knowledge
we have. Can we,combined, make an educated guess who is buried, without

There is a row, with spaces for ,maybe 10-15 graves, and only

Hermon,
Do you have any more information on Jonathan Parker or Abigail Steelman? I
believe them to be my husband's ggg grandparents. You say her gg uncle was
Captain Johan Hans Steelman. Do you know her parents, grandparents or
anything about his?
I believe their daughter is Ann Parker who married Nathan Cox in Clermont
Co. OH 1838.
You seem to have so much information to share and I'd appreciate any help or
information you have.
Thanks,

I turned my 1st am hike west on Rt 125 at Joseph M Justice's . And about
where Old and New RT 125's were split in 1967. I look north across the

I think James [John ?] Shotwell was 1st to keep stagecoach inn there, and
then,maybe ,Probate Judge,and Elder,Thomas Sheldon,JP.
The 1870 and 1891 atlas show James Harvey- James Harvie living there.
Can't
remember my Mom mentioning the Harvie's. Harvey's. Who was James Harvey?
Hi Hermon,
You seem to know a lot about the history and people of the old Brown &
Clermont Co's. I just wonder if you have ever heard of "Sarah Ann
Logan"? She married Joseph Keethler/Keithler 16 Sept 1840. She was
born in Va 1767. Was Logan her maiden name? or was she married before
she married Joseph and Logan was her married name. Sarah was 12 - 13
years older than Joseph and he was 60 when they were married. Sarah
died in Scott Twp in Sept 1874 at the age of 109 yrs and 6 mos. What

Hello Hermon and fellow listers.......
Thanks for sharing all the interesting history of Clermont County --
especially for those of us that have not been there to date. My husband's

original church founded in 1827 by Alexander Thompson, which was called

Hi listmembers,
I am looking for information on William Coats & Sarah Jane (LEMON) SMITH. They were born in NJ abt 1803 and were in Warren Co, Ohio by 1838. Could I get a lookup for information on William & Sarah on the 1840 & 1850 census if there is one? They had at least 3 children born in Ohio. Charles S. SMITH b 1838, William Francis SMITH b 1840, and Emily SMITH b 1842. Their Son John B was b in NJ in 1833. I was wondering if they were living near other Smiths or maybe Coats families that may lead to

Hermon: Can you tell us anything about this Camp Meeting? My gf, Joseph F.

Paris. Her Scots-Irish family had been Presbyterian, but she was a member

wonder if this was part of that movement. Thank
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a Charlie Sweet? My
mother-in-law Altha Carter Blair, had a cousin named Charlie Sweet who came
from Cincinnati to see his grandma. Not sure who grandma was bit she was the
daughter of George (Wash) Carter & Alice Dell Kirgan. Altha was born in
Williamsburg, Clermont County, Ohio June 14, 1892. I have photos of them
together & the look to be about the same age.
I have not been able to find the name of Sweet in this line...anyone have an
idea?
Thanks, Ei
I proposed, colletively, that we might guess those buried in the 10-15

Let's say another was Martha, consort of 'Robert ' Doughty. 1814, or
