I suspect that our Owens families are connected. My gggrmother is Hannah Frances (OWENS) HICKS, born 5 Dec 1821 in Augusta, Bracken Co, KY. She
married Henry Melvin HICKS in 1850 and the family lived in Clermont County all their lives. I have made the assumption that they are related and have the

I am in snail mail contact with someone who visited this cemetery before it
was destroyed. He is a descendant of John Abraham Beckelhymer and Margaret
Short. Margaret was the daughter of John Short, Sr and wife, Mary. John
Short, Sr was a Revolutionary War veteran.
My fried, Richard Russell of Indianapolis, IN, took pictures of the stones
at the Short Cemetery, albeit with a not very-good camera. He is in the
process of sending me copies of these photos When I get them, I could scan

Listers,
I recently discovered that I have connections on both my parents' sides to
Clermont County. Knew about my father's lines (Salt, Justice, Boothby in Brown
County) - but it seems that on my mother's side there is a connection to a William
Tell Parker (?MD?) who married Ann (I think) Denman and whose parents lived in New
Richmond, mid-1800s (his mother, Mrs. Parker was very interested in the
anti-slavery movement). Anyone know anything about this family?
Hopefully,

Clermont web site? I'm inquiring because in two books the biography for one
in my line was incorrect. This was later corrected in Aileen Whitt's

My William Cox has been a hard one to find, and it appears he isn`t
listed at the household for Wm.Cox Ohio Twp. pg.218 as well.
The research that`s been passed down on William Cox and Nancy Ann Owens
list`s a daughter Catherine Cox born abt.1835 PA- I believe this to be
a Catherine Roderick that married Frederick Creamer.

A W.J. listed as a child of William and Nancy`s may be a M.J. and

In the early 1800s there was a Calvary Meeting House. There was a cemetery

Hello Everyone,
I sent a corrected post to the Clermont County list, but I don't know if
everyone received it so I'm reposting.
I received the following communication thru the OH-Hamilton County mailing

Since the cemetery is in Clermont County, Jim asked me to post it to the
