Richard, I would suggest you try the National Obituary Archive site. I know also if you type in your search engine Newspapers, you can come up with a list of all the newspapers in the country. The East Liverpool Review, online at http://www.reviewonline.com has obits and links to Martin, MacLean Altmeyer and Dawson's Funeral Homes. In looking at the Columbiana County web site I find several items of interest in the "INDEX TO THE 1878 - 1893 "VALLEY ECHO" DEATH NOTICES AND OBITUARIES". Its tough doing research long distance. The Youngstown Vindicator Does not give full obit -- name, age, town, funeral home. Morning Journal, Lisbon, OH Click the name to get the full obit. Salem News Name, age, town, funeral home -- and sometimes the full obit. I haven't figured out their system as yet.
