Does anyone in Crawford County do cemetery lookups?
I am searching for headstone data for William King who died in 1878, probably Chatfield and his wife Mary, I believe she died sometime in 1860's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would also like to know the name of the cemetery they are buried in. I am descended fr

Looked them up in Cemeteries of Crawford County, Ohio, vol. A which covers Fairview cemetery and Oakwood cemetery. There are a lot Kings there but much earlier than yours. You may want to try a volunteer on the Random Acts of Kindness site. This link will take you right to the Ohio volunteers who will do look-ups.

There are Strongs buried in Seneca County, Scipio Twp., Farewell Retreat Cemetery. Seneca is the county to the north of Crawford. Among the burials is Catherine Strong, wife of John Strong. Could this be the family you're seeking?
Following are the Strongs buried there:

The entry in the 1850 census for Liberty Township that you requested for John Strong, is actually John Shong. This is the way the name is
transcribed in the 1850 Crawford County census book. The family is also listed under Shong in 1860.

I checked Cemeteries of Crawford County, Volume 3, which would include rural cemeteries in the Chatfield area and
didn't find a William or Mary King that died during that time period. There were a couple of William Kings in Chatfield

The Ohio death certicate index produces a certicate number 42781 in volume 8510 of the Crawford records for the years 1933-1937. A definite death date is not given. Thank You Mary. The only dates that my great grandmother had noted in her records is that William King was born in 1797 and Mary Louise (Fy) King was born in 1798, no day and month given. These years seem to coincide with the ages on the census records of 1850 and 1860 in Chatfield. I know that at least one of their s
