1. Ancestry & Rootsweb [1]

Just so you know, it was announced that Ancest.Com (MyFamily.Com) has acquired/will merge with Rootsweb, Inc. There are so many messages my mailbox is overfull. I am not sure at this time of the ramifications of this for me or the USGenWeb Project or the various Rootsweb Lists. I suspect little will change except that Ancestry will direct more of the policies and procedures and Ancstry will have more control regarding dissemination of material archived at Rootsweb.
