Hi - unless they were underage, you won't find anything in these early
records execpt the names of those married, the date, and who performed the
marriage. You can find a list of addresses and phone numbers for the
Probate Court (no longer at the Court House) at

Scroll down to below the links.
FYI - have corrected the master database for the spellings of the NEVIUS
folks in those early marriage, but I have not yet decided how to change the
on-line records. So many times, it

Does anyone know in what newspaper a 1922 Arcanum obituary may have been

indexed?

Dear Nicolle,
I can't help you with your picture request because I don't live in Ohio, but
wanted to ask you a question. Did you know that a Sadie M. Puterbaugh
married into the Bailey family? I only have 3 Puterbaugh names in my file,
but they could possibly be connected to your family. I don't know much
about the Puter
Greetings gang,
Now that it looks like my grandfather William Victor Boze graduated from
Ansonia HS, anyone who hasn't gotten a copy of the pictures already and
would like a copy, please send me a message, and I will be happy to share my
treasure. I am not interested in selling the framed copy or giving it away,
but would love to share it with other descendants of the graduates.
According to Dennis these are the graduates who were in the pictures of
1916. If your relative is listed and you want a copy of

Hello,
I am looking for anything on Gilbert Mundy who is buried in Ellis
Cemetery in Mercer County. Gilbert was a private in Company I, 156,
O.V.I. His small gravestone doesn't give any dates. He is buried next to
Mary Munday, wife of Charles Frank Could Gilbert's wife have been
Clarissa Knox? Could he have had a sister named May ann Mundy? Could his
father have been James Mundy?
All help appreciated.

I found in an old book that was donated for a used book sale the following
item:
Report card(called Roll of Honor) for Kate Burger who attended School at
District #2, Richland Twp, Dark Co. for term of Sept. 23, 1889 to March 12,
1890. It has her attendance, and grades and is signed by Daniel Moul,
teacher. Does anyone know who might be interested in this piece of history?

Diane,
I will be unable to go to Darke County anytime soon. I live in Michigan
near Flint.
That sounds like a lot of work going through the entire book looking for
young people the correct age.
The reason that I put the request for information about the name of the
school was in case anyone knew who perhaps had lived in the area. I
thought if I knew the name of the school then we could all spread the word
to other researchers of ancestors from Darke County, who might have had
someone in the class who
Dear Cindy,
I do not remember you, and I am certain that I would. I am also descended
from Letticia Bailey and Jacob Strait through their daughter Lettitia

This is my rough pedigree and I am interested in corresponding and sharing
my information with anyone who is related to me or who thinks I may be able
to help them.

I can ask my new contact Nicolle if you want me to.

Hi Carrol:
Well you are right. From what I have been told all Puterbaugh/Puderbaugh
people are related. Two brothers Johann and George were the immigrant
brothers from Germany. It is said any Puderbaugh you meet is related. I
have a file that was sent to me on the name. If you like I can check out

was looking for the families of Pricilla MANN who married Joseph MENDENHALL
and George MANN who married Margaret PEARSON. He told me Priscilla was a
daughter of Jacob MANN and Elizabeth SCHELL. George may have been a son of
a John MANN. Luckily those are not my direct line but they married siblings
of my ancestors. Sorry I can't help at t his point.

I just received word from my cousin, a guidance counselor at Ansonia High

Thanks for this. It is something I didn't have. My ancestors left NY to NJ.
I recognize a couple of names from my data on your list. I am trying to find
out if maybe other NJ families also went to Darke Co also. Voorhees, Wycoff,
Stoothoff, Bird, Schurman, Schenck, are all Dutch names that traveled and
married into the Nevius family back in the 1600s and 1700s. My Albert Nevius

It would not have been strange at all. My Great Great Grandfather, David

Dear Wally and others,
I knew that it didn't come through the list...I was just saying that I had
been sent several of them, and was surprised when I got so many of them.
The first one was sent directly to my address. When I saw what it was, I
got rid of it immediately (without opening the attachment)...Then a short
while later I got the large group of them which I deleted without even
looking to see who they were addressed to.
After receiving so many it scared me, so I ordered up the special check. I
Hi, Sylvia - haven't talked at you in a long time. Do you already know of
Tim Mann and the book he recently finished on the MANNs? If so, ignore me.
If not, I will dig up his address for you as I don't think he was ever a
part of the list. I also think Jane has an advertisement about the book in
her DCO Bookstore.
As you have no doubt discovered, there are Millers and Millers and even
more Millers . My own files don't show the Miller/Mann connection so
I hope someone can help. I personally am l
