Hi There:
My 3rd great grandfather, Isaac FROST (1799-1875), moved to Delaware Co.,
OH from NY before 1820 and married Nancy EVANS. I think his mother may have
been Phebe CARPENTER who married John FROST. John, Phebe and Isaac may
have made the westward move together. I'm looking for proof of Isaac's
parentage.
Sincerely,
Ken Frost

I am hoping to visit Delaware County next week. Can someone tell me the
hours when the dchs is open. Also, is there a good hotel or bed and
breakfast in Delaware that you would recommend. Thanks for your help.

Researching the SLAWSON, MOSES, and MAIN families in Delaware County
Delaware County has a website with some searchable databases.
www.owu.edu/~grcryder/index.html
They also have an e-mail address: dchsdcgs@midohio.net
I have had some research requests done through them before but I think mostly
by regular mail. I can't remember specifically but there may be a small fee
associated with it. The best thing to do is ask. I hope this helps. Their
mailing address is on their website and I suppose they may have their
guidelines posted as well.

Can anyone help me with information on the parents of Charles H Wigton.
He was born in Delaware Co, Ohio in 1840.
I find a Martha Wigton with a child Charles age 11. I have no proof this
is my Charles. Can anyone help with marriage, birth or death records. I
would appreciate any help anyone can give with the Wigton surname.

Are there various spellings of Pettyjohn? I have a Miss Paryjoe who
married a John Venrick/various spellings for this too. These names were
given on a death certificate for a Franis Arilla White.
Thanks

Hello everyone:
I am looking for the obituary of AARON PETTYJOHN who died in Delaware
County Ohio, September 12, 1852.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to look?
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Paul

Paul,
Go to the Delaware County web site at http://www.owu.edu/~grcryder
Go to the online research sources for the county link. There's a list of
various sources, one is an index of death notices etc. If you find something
on Aaron, the index will tell you the source and you can then ask the
genealogical society for a copy of the record. I did this a while back and
was lucky to get quite a few things. Hope your search is successful.

Hi,
I guess I have two questions, really:
1. Does anyone know offhand if the Delaware Library would perform simple
lookups of obits via email?
2. Does their reference desk have an email address?
Thanks,
Dee Kelly

Am trying to find out who George B. Carpenter and Mary Ann Smith's children

they were living in Delaware County, OH in 1830, 1840 and 1850 (according to
Census records) and George was probably born in Wyoming Twp., Luzerne Co.,

George B. Carpenter was the son of Gilbert Carpenter, Jr. (born about 1772,
