I need any info anyone can give me on a Eugene A. Wobser born in Sandusky, Ohio July 11, 1915. His sister is Melvina Winnifred Thompson, and their father's name was Albert, but that is all I have. I am helping a friend who is desperate to know her roots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pam,
After more searching, I made a mistake with the death of
Bertha. This Bertha was the wife of Charles Wobser, she is
the only one I could find. Oscar Wobser died on Jan. 17, 1935 at the age of 21. You can get a copy of his obit at
www.rbhayes.org Hopefully this will give more info on the
family.

The erie county court sent me a copy of the marriage record for Mary Morse and William Andrew dated Dec 30, 1852. It states the marriage was at the house of Mse Morse in said county. Wm Bowcliffe, minister of M P Church. Filed and recorded March 22, 1853.

I checked the birth records (prior to Dec 1909) in the Erie County OH Probate Court and did not locate any for children of Mary and William Andrew. I also checked Vol 2 1847-1853
and did not locate a marriage license for Mary and William in 1852.

On the 1920's census Albert Wobser is widowed, no
children listed with him. On the 30's census there is
Albert 41 married at 17 and Bertha 38 married at 30.
Bertha died on July 1, 1961, a widow.
Children listed on the 30's census are Melvina 17, Oscar 16
Eugene 15 and Marian 10. Don't know the name of Alberts

I located William Andrew and Mary in Illinois, on the 1900
census states that they had 4 children but none living at that time. I'll look further tomorrow.

I believe Albert's first wife's name was Lena, but I can't find one thing on her. I found a newspaper article that mentions a Albert and Theresa Wobser, with a son Albert I think that they might be his parents but I can't connect them. I appreciate your help, and I will also keep looking. Thanks.
