Hi Gayle,
Yes it does. However, I don't have the book. Some friends and I went to
the Los Angeles Public Library yesterday. I needed to check something in
it, and I thought this information would be something useful to be posted.
I think other libraries should have it.

Andy,
Glad to hear that you had a good experience with them. You're the first
person I've heard of in about 10 years that had a positive experience!
Maybe they've changed some personnel and/or attitudes :-)

We have an Elizabeth Weber married to a Case in Franklin Co..... Ohio. We
don't have much information but know that she was deaf. Elizabeth is dead
now but much of her family still lives in Columbus Ohio. If you could give
me information on her and her family, it would be very much appreciated.

we also (At the NORCAL site) have people who must have index books
themselves..perhaps because they are volunteers who enter them? I am fairly
new to that site also, so I'll have to ask them!

This might explain why I'm still waiting for a d/c requested in November.
They requested further info which was sent in December and still nothing.
They also kept my check. Perhaps it's time for yet another FIRM letter from
me.
How do we put pressure on NY? Appears they just plain don't want any such
request from anyone by mail.

Hello Everyone,
A very knowledgeable Jeanne Bloom shared this information with me and said I
was free to share it with others. I thought that in order to collect a
pension you had to be destitute, that is not true according to Jeanne and
there is lots of information available. I am so pleased to pass this along.
It was wonderful news for me and I hope it helps others too.

I had an excellent experience there. My great-great grandparents are
buried there. I didn't try over the phone, but when I went inside they
made photocopies of everything for me, including obituaries they had on
file and the original receipt for the lot. Then they showed me to the
grave site. Everyone was really nice and very helpful.

Looking for a Clifford W. Bayer who was reportedly born in Columbus
probably about 1870. I am afraid that is about all the information I have
on him. He is my great-grandfather and wasn't very well like by the family
so he got little mention in the family Bible.
Any and all information welcomed.
