1. Co. Death records 1867-1908 and State recs. Dec. 20-31, 1908 [1]
In looking at the county death records between 1867 and 1908, it appears to me that they were recorded in the books once a year, about the middle of the year. If the county recorded the deaths that had occured between June 1907 and June 1908 in June 1908, were the deaths that happened between June of 1908 and Dec. 20, 1908 ever recorded? I wondered if any of the professional Genealogists on the list might have any information about this. Linda

Is there an architectural association for Ohio centered in Columbus. My grandfather was an architect, practicing in Columbus, during the first two decades of the 20th century. I'd like to be able to find out which buildings he designed so I could have a record for the family. Would there be a website or an e-mail address or a snail mail address for the organization? Good Friday morning! The 1870 Census lists ELIZA JONES (born Ohio) as 23 years old and her husband DAVID as 27 years old; they have two children: GRACIE; age 5, and RICHARD; age 3; living in Columbus' 8th Ward. Thus it seems to have been her first marriage. They later had three other children; I know of only one: ERASTUS BERNARDE JONES born in 1875. The 1900 Census lists ELIZA W. JONES (born Ohio; both parents born Virginia) as having been born in January of 1846. At the time, she was the mother of

21. WHITE Family [1]
Good Monday evening! I just returned from our regional NARA site. Earlier, we had discussed my ELIZABETH/ELIZA W. WHITE who married DAVID JONES in the Columbus area in 1864. Based upon the Franklin County, Ohio, 1850 Census, the prime suspect for the parents of my Miss White are Jacob White; born 1804 in Virginia and his wife Eliza W. White; born 1811 in Virginia. They were living in Franklinton Township. An Eliza W. White; born 1845 in Ohio; was the youngest of nine children. My ELIZA W. WHITE used
