I have been transcribing old Meigs Co. newspaper. The following is all
Gallia Co. news. I know some of you are also on the Meigs Co. mailing list
(sorry for the duplication) but thought there would be others that are not.
There might be some information that could be helpful so I will be send this
transcription to both Meigs and Gallia mailing list. Hope you find something
useful. Have a great day. Connie

Would it be possible to put the information about the Gallia County Book in one of these mailings, have it posted to the Gallia County Web page or scan it to send it by E-mail for all of us to see or have? It seems like a waste of everyones time and money sending envelopes back and forth when we have E-mail which is so much faster.

Hi... I happened to notice Tope here and wondered if you had received gthis

Hello All -
I am diligently working on my father-in-law's line as a Christmas present,
and would REALLY like to find the two following pictures:
* a very old picture of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church (I took one last summer,
but would like to include an older one)
* a picture of the general store on Poplar Ridge. This was run by John S.
and Maggie ROUSH GORDON in the 1890's.
Also, can anybody tell me anything about the history of either place?
While on the subject of pictures, I have not been able to l
LindaTrent- Noticed that you are also researching The Topes and Donaldsons.
My great grandfather William Harvey White, married Mary Mildrend Tope and
Nancy Catherine Tope, daughters of George W. Tope and Elizabeth Donaldson.
Elizabeth's parents were William Donaldson and Christiana Robertson. Is this
your line? If so would appreciate any info you might have on Donaldsons
prior to William's birth in 1789.

Do you have anything on George Angel's parents, siblings, birth date or place of birth? A son named George has been attributed to Lawrence and Margaret Simpson Angel but I have been unable to verify the information.

something I've been curious about.
