2. Researching Brazda, Cerny, Maly & Vacik Surnames. [0.989772]
Hello to all. I am researching the following surnames of my ancestors who resided in Geauga County. BRAZDA, CERNY, MALY & VACIK. Eight of my ancestors are buried in Chardon Village Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio. Here is a brief synopsis of what I do know about them. My great-grandmother Katerina Brazda (born 1867, parents were Ferdinand Brazda & Antonia Jankel; ) was married to Vinzenz Maly (born 26 JUL 1863) until his death in Cleveland on 5 NOV 1905. Both had immigrated from Bohemia around DEC 1890. T
3. Surname & Geographic resource [0.989772]
Hi fellow genealogists. It's been a while since I reminded everybody about something I've found helpful in finding people who share my surnames & geographic area of research. I also have found it helps not just keeping up with contact information on people but also in making other geneology contacts. They have bulletin boards & all kinds of groups, including _just_ for genealogists & a special one for Hubbard (& other surname) descendants, people with roots in Northeast OH & lots more. 4. CREIGHTON, ROSS, REED, AYERS, MASON [0.989772]
Posting by Al Dawson of Berea, Ohio. Notes on the posting: The Patrick Creighton mentioned in this article is my ancestor. His son, my ancestor John Patrick Creighton, was the brother of the James Creighton in the article who married an Annie Creighton of another family. Like my ancestor Jeroboam Baer Creighton, the grandson of Patrick of Donegal, Ireland, these people were mainly in Stark County or Summit County - all three are buried there, Patrick I-know-not-where; John Patrick in Waynesburg,

Other Brainards were living in this area at about the same time. Cornelius Bowerman who lived in Geauga County had a son J.Addison Bowerman. He married Amanda Hastings. The wedding was performed by Ansel Brainard in 1838 in Medina County Ohio. Ansel was a Methodist preacher and Justice of the Peace. Other Brainard's appear to have moved to the same part of Michigan as these folks did, to Cass County. Others appear in Seneca County, New York which is where Amanda Hastings brother Horace lived: Brainard, E

14. Re: KOENIG [0.989772]
Hi Melissa and List, I am working on an "extended family" database consisting of the descendants of Johannes GERBER, d. 1777 Cumru Twp., Berks Co., PA, the descendants' spouses, and the spouses' ancestors. These families were mostly Amish, and they migrated from Berks Co. to Somerset Co., PA before 1800 and to Holmes Co., OH, before the War of 1812. I have a few KOENIGs who were the ancestors of KINGs in the database. I went to the Kidron OH database which is indexed through http://www.gendex.com and fou
