Kelly Courtney-Blizzard's census lists inspired this one, or at least they
were the first digit in the 2+2=4. The second was when I realized I had
broken down two major brick walls through the use of city directories rather
than censuses and thought maybe the same idea would translate. I know there
are a heckuva lot of old city directories in the two librarie
Hello, Tracy. I am looking for any information you may have on WATSON. I
have been researching an ancestor, Eliza Watson, who was born in the early
1800's in Ohio, most likely in Greene County. Can you share any information
you may have on the WATSON family?
Thanks

Seeking death/burial information about a William CAMPBELL, or a Thomas,
Robert, or George BLAKELY who may have passed in Greene County from
1830-1850. He would be the 60-70 year old male in the Robert Blakely
household in the 1830 census for Xenia. Any/all leads appreciated. Will
share what I have with interested parties.

Hi Hayes,
My gr-grandmother was Marguerite Annette Collier, who llved in Greene Co,
probably in the Yellow Springs area. I don't have my data nearby, but she was
born in the 1860s and died in the 1940s or 50s, and was married to William
Newton Brown. Her father was David Moses Collier. She had a number of
brothers and sisters, but I don't know of a connection to the Schardt family.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the reply. The only thing I would like to know about the
Primitive Bapt Church is something more than this.
All I know about the Church, and I was raised a southern Baptist, is that
they believe in Foot Washing, and do not believe in wearing make-up.
I assume that in other ways they are similar to the Southern Baptist
Church, except I do not know if they support missions.
My ancestors at least 4 generations back were Primitive Bapt. in TN and
in TX, and also in MS.
Thanks in a
The 1820 Census was on line about 3 months ago. I copied it off and now can
only find part of it in my file cabinet. I looked for your Burden on the
section that I have, but didn't find it. A Blessing put it and the 1830 on
the Greene Co. site - bless his heart - and I have really used that material.
I am busy with other "stuff" right now and can't go to the library. Maybe
someone else can help. Where is Anderson's Fork? Do you know the twp. since I
am not familiar with that name? LSS
Hi Christopher, Thanks for the reply. I appreciate this. Mary Ross

Several other photos are of a bread truck with the name "KRUG'S BREAD"

Hayes,
My gggrandmother's sister married a Saum but I am stuck in 1850. I
can't find any info about them in Greene Co. although my ggrandmother's
first cousin thought she was born there.
Interesting pictures. In other words you pictures are normal, nothing
to tell you who is who.

Listers,
Has there ever been a change in the county line? Specifically abt 1820?
Where possibly there was an Anderson Fork's in Greene County that changed
over to Clinton County after that time frame?
IM still trying to piece together why an biography about Nehemiah BURDEN says
that he and his family were in Anderson's Fork, Greene County, OH around that
time frame.
Can anyone help me please?

Sorry for piling on Richard, but I'm also looking for someone who may be
buried in Greene County. The name is Charles Ross. Family history is
that he died and his infant daughter was put in children's home there
in Greene county. He would have died between 1870 and 1880 I think.
Thanks and if you need anything from Tennessee let me know.

I don't know for sure, but it could be Jamestown-Gunnersville Rd running
between Jamestown and Port William.
What is the surname you're looking for?
My great, great-grandfather lived along that road.
Cheers,

Hi John,
Thank you so much for the prompt reply.
Looking for the town in which A. A. Hite, and Wife Sarah Alice would have
been living in 1920. Soundex did not give the town.

Dear List members,
For several months now, we have been posting historical data about
many of the Primitive Baptist churches across the northern
states, to a website, which is designed in a manner to try to help
students of church history and also family history researchers. We have
included
surnames of members as far as they are available to us, although that is
only a fraction of the names we would have if all the records were
available to us. A great deal of time is required to prepare lists of
