I am looking for anyone researching the PFAFF surname in Hamilton Co., Ohio. The 1850 Hamilton Co. Census Index shows a Adam PFAFF, John PFAFF and a Maria PFAFF. In particular I am trying to find a connection with my Anna Margaretha PFAFF to the above persons. I am researching the FOLKS/FOKES family. JOHN FOLKS was born in Ohio in 1835 and his father was born in Georgia. John ran away as a child, and was in Northern California by 1861. His mother-in-law, Levina Goforth, was with him by 1870. Her husband, Charles Andrew Goforth, was not. They both came from Tennessee.
