I have very little information on this line of my family, the info below is
from a distant cousin who was researching this family years ago:
"Jacob Mayer was born 1787 in Alsace-Lorraine, his occupation was
stonemason, he was a body-guard of Napolean Bonaparte and fought in the
battle of Waterloo. Jacob came to America (date unknown), settled in
Allentown, PA where in 1818 at age of 32 he married Henrietta Caporana who
was born in the Rineland. They became the parents of 13 children, 3 of

Ann,
I wasn't the person inquiring about the Strack surname. But would be
curious to talk with them about the surname, for I have ancestors back in Germany
with that name.

Well, Nellie is still listed as missing after death. She is not at
Zion/Maple Grove. But since a hertz and auto were used I am guessing she
get to far. I will try Miami nxt since she lived in Miami Twp.
In the meantime does anyone one know what papers would have been available
and a possible obit. I am hoping so and that an obit might give the
location she actually went to.
This is just a thought. We know she has to be somewhere. I will try
another desperate avenue of Spring Grove. I feel that it wou

My father attended Washington Trades School in Cincinnnati as young boy. He
probably attended in the early late 1920's or early 1930's. Can anyone tell me
about this school? I would like to know where it was located and if this
school had a dormitory for it's students. Are there any records for this school?
Also, I would like to know if anyone can tell me about the Working and

there a way to contact someone about findi
Could somebody please tell me where to find 228/230 Williams Street on the 1910 Census? I expected to find it in Lockland, but the census seems to skip those numbers, so I thought maybe it would be somewhere else in that area but I haven't been able to find it. I'm using Ancestry.com. Is there another place to find it?
Thanks,

I have been checking out the Spring Grove Cemetery website and I just want to
say that it is wonderful. I found some of my relatives on it that I didn't
even know were buried there. Thank you to whoever has put these records online!

Sandi,
What are the names? What religion? I'll see if I can
find anything on my next trip to the library.

He wrote bk wanting my home phone and I gave it to him. I did remind him
that time was running out. We will decide if I will go to Dayton or he will
come here. I was thinking of maybe a little out of the way cemetery in
Mont, Darke or Miami. I think if I took him to one that I photographed for
family members far away and are getting to see the markers for the first
time I can emphasize it's meaning well that way. If in our home I would

I just received a Partial copy of the 1830 Census for Hamilton County,
Mill Creek Township.
I did not get much from the document except I am in need of help on
locating information about the township and two individuals listed
(Fredrick Daudle and Jacob Daudle). Any information will be appreciated.
I am hoping they are my family ?!! Thank you.

I know some of you might be tired of this by now. But I will most likely
ask anyone I can find to vent to. My family very important to me.
So I thought since they were saying this was under the guise of "identity
theft" and homeland security why not write that addy given for homeland
security and let them know I was being attacked and would they help.
I think my last line was if they wanted respect they should be flying

Carol,
I went over to Reading city hall this morning and had no luck finding
UHLENBROCKs or KAUCHERs death certificates. It's possible they died outside
city limits. The office staff double checked the years with me. The State
has already come in and started taking items from the City. It really makes
me sick! Is Big Brother moving into reality?
At this point I don't know where the records are going. I know the
caretaker of Reading Cemetery and he lets me in to look at the burial books.

Editorial in today's Cincinnati Enquirer regarding the budget before Gov. Taft:

Although this makes no mention of our concern regarding vital records, I submitted my
letter to the editor online regarding this concern. Another means of speaking up.
Hopefully more of you will do the same.

bfogle,
Thank you for replying to my DAUDLE query. I was unable to make a
connection to Jacob S., but I think the answer may lie in gaining
information on Fredrick DAUDLE/DOWDLE. I believe that maybe Jacob and
Fredrick were most definitely related. Thanks again.

Pat & Linda,
I just finished a letter to Cliff Radel writer in the Cincinnati Enquirer
who like me is a west sider and of the Irish German heritage. I hope it hits
home and he picks up the idea to do an article to make more people aware of
the cost to do research due to HB95. I also copied him on my letter to the
Governor asking him to line item veto the provision for eliminating
uncertifieds and the exorbitant fee structure. I copied the two of you on
the letter sent to Cliff so IF we can et a ground swel

idea where Luci is buried. Will need to do more digging.

Pat,
My grandparents are buried there and it is a nice and large Cemetery. The
staff has always been very friendly and although I haven't done research
there, I'm sure they would be happy to assist you.
Call ahead though just in case: 513-521-7003.

It may refer to potatoes. http://www.fedcoseeds.com/forms/moosecatalog.pdf.
My ancestors, WUNDER, were related to BERESFORD. In Cincinnati they were
associated with the meat industry. This may be the reason for "Beresford's
choice cuts."
