Hello.
I am new to this list and wondered if some kind soul could recommend a few
searchable databases for Hamilton Co., Cincinnati or Ohio for genealogical
facts.
In case there may be a connection on the list, I am looking for the parents
and any descendants of Harry (Harold probably) and Martin STOUTJESDYK. They
were both listed as porters on 1st Ave., Cedar Grove Cincinnati, OH in the
1890, 1891 city business directory. They were not enumerated in the Census
for 1870, 1880 or 1890 however. Th

There is a town by the name of Baiern located about 25 km. (15 miles)
southeast of Munich (Munchen). I don't see any Sparbach anywhere in the
vicinity. It could be possible that it is now part of Baiern and no
longer exists by itself. You will need to find an old map to determine
if that is what happened. Perhaps someone on the list can help you with
how to find an old map of this area.
Mapquest also shows three other Baiern locations all of which are north
of Munich 25 to 40 miles away.

I would like to hear from anyone who knew Albert Sellers in the 1920s.
He taught German (and other languages) at Hughes High School in
Cincinnati,
and he also worked for the Enquirer newspaper.
He came to Cincy from Oxford OH in the early 20's, and then disappeared
about 1926 or 1927.
Thanks for any information.

Mary Ellen,
You can check on Web for a map locator for towns in Germany such as
Sparbach. The State appears to be Bavaria (BAYERN) in German.
I know it is not an easy puzzle to solve, but you are on the right track.
Another way to try to locate Sparbach is to check LDS ancestry records for
Germany - Bavaria- Sparbach. This would give your Church records for there,
to order the tapes from LDS.
