My grandfather, Archie Ellsworth HAYES b. 12 Dec 1875 Elizabethtown
(Hamilton Co OH) left home as a young man. His father was Anthony HAYES and
the information that I have is that his mother was Mary GLARDON. In the
1880 census Archie is listed with Uriah STEVENS as a grandson. Lucy was the
name given for Uriah's wife. Anthony was listed in the census with his
father Otho. No mention of Mary anywhere. Per the Indiana online marriage
index there was a Peter GLARDON who married a Mary FORTON in Dearborn
Hello, All;
Just a word of advice regarding the database of marriages in Northern KY
counties from 1795 to 1850.
Be sure to check both names of the couple. I did not get a "hit" on
Charles Cleaver, but when I entered his bride's name (Sarah White), the
information did come up.
Just don't give up if one doesn't show. I don't know why they wouldn't be
cross-referenced, but maybe mine was just an isolated glitch.

I am looking for any information on Charles Tilden Lucas, born
around 1883 in Cincinnati, OH. The only info I have on his parents is
his mother's name is Lena. I don't have a last name for her and his
father is listed as William Harris on all the documents I have found,
including military records. The only other info I have on his parents
is that his father, not William Harris, died in 1884. At the time of
his birth, his mother was 16.
I would appreciate any info on him. He is my wife's grandfather.

My guess is a photographer or an artist who tinted daguerrotypes. And that
the person who listed him as that couldn't spell it! According to Webster's
dictionary, daguerrotype was an early photographic process with the image made
on a light-sensitive silver-coated metalic plate. It was named for Louis J.
M. Daguerre, its inventor.

Dear Hamilton County List:
According to the 1870 City Directory, there was a listing for the Female
City Prison, north west corner (n.w.c) of Front Street and Parsons.
I would like the history and records of this prison if anyone could tell
me where to find them?
Also, the Police Court is listed in the "City Officers" section. The
judge's names are: Walter F. Straub, Judge, Term expires April, 1871. J.
Augustus Fisher, Clerk; Wm. Bauer and George E. Richards, Assistant
Clerks; Moses F Wilson, Prosecut
names in Hamilton Co., Dearborn Co. IN, and Kenton Co. KY:
SCHMIDT, SMITH, MORGAN, WRIGHT, COX, KVSTER/CUSTER
Ken Smith,

I have several Marriott ancestors who were in Hamilton County in the early
19th century. Am looking for other Marriott descendents (Issac Marriott).
Also a general question. His wife, 2 grown children plus one of their
spouses died between February 15 1844 and March 17 1844. Was there some
sort of disease going though the county at that time?
I have been stuck on my GGGgrandfather Mason B. Perry for almost 2 years now.
He was born in 1827, presumably in Hamilton Co. He married Ann Stoughton,
daughter of Ely and May Stoughton in abt.1847. They had children Edwin,
William, Bloomfield, and Hattie.
On the 1850 census Mason is residing with wife Ann, and 1 year old Edwin. Also
in the home are William Perry b. abt 1829 (Mason's brother) and Jesse or Jane
Stoughton age 17 (Ann's sister)
After the 1850 census, I found nothing more on Edwin, William, or
I'm looking for information about my grandfather and great grandfather.
I have very little to go on.
The grandfather's name was Thomas Brennan. He was born on Feb. 14th,
but I don't know the year. I think it was around 1876. He died in
Cincinnati sometime in the 1950s. I believe that his wife's name was
Mammie. Any info about her would be a plus.
I know even less about my great grandfather. His name was Malachi or
Maliky Brennan. I don't know how the first name was spelled. He was
born in Ireland,
I'm looking for the following ancestors of mine, many in the
Cincinnati/Reading area:
KOETTER/KOTTER: Joseph Henry & Elizabeth Anna; Henry Joseph (1859-1900) &
Louise Stallkamp
LANGEMEIER/LANGMEIER: John Herman (d. 1895) & Mary Elizabeth Beyer
(1855-1948); John August (1887-1977) & Marie Twickler (1898-1981); Aloysius
(1894-1985) & Marie Suhre (1894-1971); Henry/Harry (1890-1954) & Mary Chenal
(1905-1984)
PIEPMEYER: Henry/Harry (1878-1967) & Emma Langemeier (1882-1964)
BEYER: John Bernard (b. 1812)
Looking for information on the Joseph C. F. VonGundy family. He married
Catherine Dautel/Dantel. He was born March 31, 1818 died March 21, 1900.
Catherine was born October 1830 and died Nov. 13, 1882. Any information on
this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Rose,
Since you have a specific death date for this man with the same name as your g-grandfather may I suggest that you check the newspaper for the obit. If you find the obit, it may confirm who he was married to, and it may mention where services were being held.
Good Luck(Crossing fingers for you)
