I am looking for a death certificate for a Josephine Lindecker who died in
1890 in Toledo, Ohio, and is buried in the Calvary Cemetery. Would also like
to find a copy of her Obit. Would the Toledo Blade be on file from that
long ago?
I have contacted the Courthouse, Probate Office, and Historical Society and
no one seems to have a death record for her...but she is buried in the
cemetery.
Thanks, Mimi

Hi. My name is Kathy Baker. I live in Rome, Italy. Grew up in Ottawa, Ohio
and am researching families in Putnam County and Lucas County. I'd be
interested in having someone obtain copies of birth, marriage and death
certificates for me for persons from Lucas County. Is there anyone out
there who does look ups at libraries, etc.?

About obituaries:
The Toledo Blade has been the most consistent source of obituaries that I
know of. There is an obituary index in the Toledo library; sometimes, people
from the list will look up the obits for you. If you don't get an offer,
you can look up the library address on the web, and they will look up the
obituaries and send you copies; I think the price for research, copying, and
postage is $5.00 each. It's really a bargain.
I have begun posting photos and some history of people in the Lyons, Fulton
County, Ohio area. The web site is still under construction but if you had
family from there, you may want to check it out. Some of the family names
are: HINKLE, WOOD, MARLATT, CARPENTER AND HALL.
If you have any photos or stories that you would like to contribute,
email me.
