Have come across two towns I think are in the Trumbull or Mahoning
county area which are not in my present atlas.
Does anyone know where Braceville and Coldburg are located?
References to these towns are circa 1863 and 1888 respectively.
Coldburg may be an editor's corruption of Coitsville, as that is the
1860 census location of the person referred in 1888 as from Coldburg.
Thanks for your help.

Hi List & Rose :)
I just checked in "The Red Book" -- the National Directory of Morticians ---
There is no Sutherland Funeral Home in Youngstown as of 1996. Name not even
mentioned as a merger with other funeral homes. :( Sorry.
Have you checked the 1920 Mahoning County census yet?

I am seeking books that I may order through the Inter Library Loan system.
I have family that came from the Mahoning - Trumble area early in its history

The names McFarlin, Wick, Kimmel, Howe, McConnell, Smith and Gillespie are
some of my interests.

Hello Ed and all,
Was wondering if your Shehy line is the same as the Shehy St. in
Youngstown? A couple of months ago I tracked down the residence of my
grandfather's family on Lincoln Park Drive, which I believe is right off
of Shehy St. Do you know any history of the naming of the street?

Who are you looking for in Deeds? The Recorder's office will just give

Hi,List!!
My name is Rose Matthews. I live in Orlando,FL.
My grandfather & grandmother resided in Youngstown,OH in the
1920's.(apparently)
My mother said she was born there but I have had my application for birth
certificate returned twice saying she was not. Her name (as far as I know)
was Kathryn Leona Savigny at birth.
Her father, Charles Henry Savigny died there on April 27th, 1924. He was
buried in Fonthill,Ontario,Canada sometime later. A "Sutherland" funeral
home handled this.

All I can tell you is that I found some at the main library downtown in
