This is for Cindy! Have you checked the cemetery index's for Cincinnati? I think that is Hamilton County. You might get lucky and find the location in there! I don't know what might be on their website for the genealogical society there, but you also might be able to post something on their list and maybe someone would look for you! Good luck! Hi all. Often times while doing research for folks at the Allen Co. library in Fort Wayne, IN (second largest genealogy library in the country) I come accross some good articles and have collected many of them from various periodicals. I have recently begun posting them to the appropriate lists in hopes they may be of help to folks. I will try to post these as I have time. Here is one below. It's a great article. Enjoy. Cindy, It's a long shot, but you might want to write to Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. It's probably the largest Cincinnati cemetery. They even have a genealogy department and sent complete cemetery records for several of my relatives. Spring Grove Cemetery 4521 Spring Grove Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45232-1954 I sent them three surnames. They sent 8 pages at $.50 per page and $.55 postage. They responded the day they received my letter. Also, the Paul Laurence Dunbar Library at Wright State Unive

I don't know much about the Pifer's, but they are mentioned on page 567 of that article I told you about. They were John and Charlotte Pifer. She was a Harner before her marriage.
24. Re: [MERCER] STOVER [1]
If it is the book I think it is, the Genealogy Society has it on CD. A member sent me some of the pages.. There is an article on page 459 about William Parker (Married Moses Stover's daughter Olive) that I would like to see all of. It evidently started on 458 and I don't have that page. Also an article on 566 and 567. I have 567, but not 566. the book is RECORD OF MERCER AND VAN WERT COUNTY. It was originally published by A.W.Bowen & Co.
25. Re: [MERCER] STOVER [1]
Thanks much for the title of the book. I'm going to see if thet will make an inter-library loan. I was hoping to find the maiden name of Moses's mother. I think I found John( his father) in the 1929 Penn. census. The age of the child was the right age to have been Moses, but since those early census reports contained only the head of the household, No maiden name for Sarah. I think she is buried in Richland county. John is buried in Mercer County, I think in the same cemetary as Moses.
