Reaseaching my grandfather Leonard Baumgardner and his wife Irma. Have
information on his parents and his sister Catherine, her children. His
obituary of 1965 from Crestline, Ohio, stated a surviving son, J.O.
Baumgardner of Celina, and 6 grandchildren. Would appreciate any information.
Thank you. Noreen
My daughter has been requested to help with a project at school regarding
veterans in student's families. While going through old photos from my
Grandmother Helen BOMHOLT Ronnebaum I found several photos of men from WWI.
One of the individual postcard photos is of an Emil ? addressed to Miss
Helen. Would anybody have any idea of Emil's last name? On a list of
Mercer Co. men in WWI I found an Emil N. Small and an Emil A. Goettemoeller.

Well, today I mentioned it to my Dad and he says that in German they were
called guardparents not godparents. He is several years older than his
sister and only spoke German until a few weeks before he was supposed to go
to school.
Aunt just sent me a photo to copy of my g-grandfather, grandfather and his
sisters about 1914 in front of a touring car. The little girls are all
wearing old bonnets (not hats) on their heads. She has more at home. Too
bad she doesn't have email.
Thanks for everyone's
Has anyone ever heard the term "guardparent". I don't mean godparent.
I was at the annual Labor Day party today. I had passed out copies of
family trees and returned photos to everyone when my aunt said "you know
this really wasn't your grandmother's name." (just what I wanted to hear of
course after all of that work) Then she went on to say that she had seen a
book years ago at my grandmother's house which Grandma had borrowed from a
sibling. In it were listed the names of the kids (three names w
Just thought I would let those that are interested know.....
I have just completed the rosters for both the One Years' and Three Years' Service of the 60th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The roster is personalized in that next to each soldier's name is a column for links to grave sites, bios, photos, websites, etc. Also, our site contains photos, biographies, memoirs (letters, National Tribune articles, diaries, etc.) and other fascinating facts about the 60th OVI.
Our site is not a "traditional" civil war si

I am working on a Mott line where Louisa is a pretty common name, although I
haven't found any in Mercer County.
Thanks.

Hello List members
Would anyone be searching the Donovon family that would
know if Elizabeth Donovon and Christian Nathaniel Mardenis
married in Mercer Co, and if they died or are buried in Mercer
Co.
Thanks for any information.

Hello List members
Would anybody have the Harden Family of Mercer Co.
in their family tree. I am looking for a marriage for John W Harden
son of Isaac Harden & Martha Wical.
I beleive John married Louisa Mott, probably sometime
after 1880.
Thanks for any help.
Sue
