Maria B. RUSH/RUSK was born ca 1824 in OH. In 1847 she married Edward
Gatwood in Saltcreek Twp, Muskingum Co. Her mother was Catharine who
married James FULK Oct 1833 in Muskingum. It appears that Catharine
may have been a widow but I have not found any marriage for a male
RUSH/RUSK to a Catharine. In the 1830 census there were three
RUSH/RUSK families in Muskingum Co:
Enoch in Salem Twp, Enoch in Union Twp and James M. also in Union
Twp.
Does anyone have any information that an help me?

Philip or John Coleman/Kuhlman, perhaps of Bedford or York County may
have been with the Bowman/Bowser party that went to Warren/Montgomery
County, Ohio in 1798.
Philip Coleman is to be found in Perry County, Ohio 1820 and in several
tax lists including Warren County. He is reported to have married Nancy
Horn of Newton Township before 1828.
Any comments? Hal

Is it just me, or is Christiana a big name in Muskingum Co in the early
1800's? I have a Christiana Fink and a Christiana Wilson (who was probably
named after Christiana Fink), both in Hopewell Twp. I've seen others as
well in other lines. I never heard this variation before I found it in the
family tree.

If someone out there has a book of cemetery transcripts for Springfield,
could you please look to see if there are any male McCormicks buried there,
died between 1838 and 1850, born Ireland, first name unknown, husband of
Isabella. Any help would be much appreciated! I have been combing census
records unsuccessfully--it's all quite difficult when you lack the first
name... Thanks--

Dear Listmates:
I am a new member of your discussion list although I have had a query on
the web site for a few years seeking any information on our early
TWADDLE and DEFFENBAUGH ancestors in Zanesville (link below).
William TWADDLE, who was an early citizen of Zanesville, was one of the
children of our as yet unknown Irish imigrants. William had three
sisters, Margaret, Mary and Sarah, the latter two of which are presently
unaccount for. We have found a biographical quip in an early Zanesville
history th
CROY, Benjamin, born abt 1775, son of Mathias CROY of Belmont County,
married Christiana Horn in abt 1797 probably in Bedford County, PA.
In about 1798 they came to the Fort Wheeling area. Later, perhaps abt
1805, they came to the Zanesville/Coshchton area where Christiana died
before abt 1817. Benjamin's father and brother owned land in what was
then Muskingum County, but is now Coschocton County. Christiana's
brother, Daniel Horn, owned land in Muskingum County. before 1805.
