I am interested in the family of Heinrich KRESS, b. 19 July 1821 in
Mittelkalbach, Germany. He married on 21 Oct 1847 in Pittsburgh
Catharina MULLER, born 6 June 1822.
At least two children were born in Pittsburgh:
Peter KRESS, born 19 Aug 1849
Margaretha KRESS, born 24 Sep 1854
They resided in/near Fulda, Ohio until 1865 when they moved to Indiana.
They had 6 children.
Heinrich KRESS is the brother of my gg-grandfather, Peter Kress who
lived in Pittsburgh for about 18 years and moved to a farm south

in the Calais area in Monroe County. Any help most appreciated.

I am researching Benjiman LEACH, husband to Susan MAHONY, who may have
migrated from Maryland to the Noble/Monroe county areas of southeastern
Ohio prior to 1849. They were the parents of Acel LEACH (1849-1918) who
married Harriet LEEK (1850-1900) in 1867 in Ohio. Acel's children and
grandchildren married into the CARPENTER family of southeastern Ohio.
Thanks.

Anyone know about the Schofields of Noble co? I find my KELLARS (Henry m.
to Hannah Morris Mosier) living with the James B.(age 34) Schofields in the
1860 census; next house up is Elizabeth Schofield (age 73, widow of Joseph)
living with Nancy Brown, age 79 (both born PA---sister?); next house is
David Schofield, age 30, whose middle name is Horr---significant because
several generations on back, the Kellar maiden name goes to Monroe and then
to Hore. Also found Margaret Kellar, born Noble in 1838 married

I'm looking for clues to the Miller-Kellar family...
Back in Shenandoah Co., VA, were Jacob and Elizabeth Kellar Miller, both
born about 1799. A daughter, Catherine Miller married Harrison Kellar
(first cousins) in Morgan Co., OH in 1840 and they lived in Olive twp.,
Noble Co until 1872 when they moved to Warren Co., Iowa.
1) In a diary is a reference to dinner at George Millers in Nobler co.
2) Catherine and Harrison's second child was John Francis Kellar---there
was a Francis Miller in beaver Twp.,
I`m looking for clues. Hannah MORRIS m.Abraham MOSER about 1828. Their
children were Mary, Morris, John, Sarah, Catherine and Samson. Abraham
died before the 1850 census in Noble Co.. I think he may have been born
around 1902. I can`t find anything about where he came from. Anybody got
any ideas where I should look next.Bye, jaynut@thevision.net
