7. Re: [OHPICKAW] Wills/Probate Lookup assistance needed [1]
Hi Pete: I checked estates and other probate matters but found nothing under Isaac Girton. We do have the estate of William Girton - Susan Girton is his widow, who died Dec. 16, 1882 (Estate # 0-3075) I found an obit for Isaac Girton in the May 27, 1881 Democrat-Watchman. It says"The funeral services of Isaac Girton were held in the Christian Church last Saturday, Rev. Morris officiating. The remains were interred in the cemetery." (This is in Williamsport) In Springlawn Cemetery just on the outskirts
8. [OHPICKAW] TERPENING/STEVENS [1]
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the list. I'm researching both the Terpening (Jon and Jesse both) and Stevens lines. Joseph Stevens had a daughter, Julia. I have a great photo of her and Jon sitting together in their house. She has a corncob pipe in her hand. Would like to hear from anyone who is researching this family. We haven't been able to get back further than Joseph. Pam Vaughan Vallejo, CA

12. Re: [OHPICKAW] Camp/Gintsell [1]
Hi Rebecca, Yes, Lydia is buried in the H.M. Crites Cemetery also known as the Owens-Campbell Cemetery. She is listed in our latest Wayne Twp cem. book as being there, but perhaps without a stone as there is a notation by Mayberry that it is verified by the 1936 DAR Cemetery Inscriptions book. I hear that the Soldier's Monumental Society is planning to rehab that cemetery. They've done a wonderful job at the High St. cemetery in town and at one in Muhlenberg Twp. Hope you have a wonderful holiday seaso

List members, If you have not checked for a while you might want to look at the cemetery pages for Pickaway County. (I have provided a quick way to view the cemeteries using cut and paste-url, see below). I have taken a few photos of grave stones (about 50), which were placed on the appropriate pages, namely Harrison township (Harrison Township Cemetery), Perry Township (Messmore Cemetery and New Holland Cemetery). The graves in the Messmore Cemetery were moved to New Holland Cemetery about 1967 ho
