Hello, I'm searching for the marriage record of my gr-uncle and his first wife as follows: JONES, John M. (Matt), born in Laurel County, KY and MITCHELL, Anna Lou, born in Spring Creek, W.VA. 2. Re: Hannah MULFORD, m. ca 1803 Joseph EDWARDS [1]
I don't have a marraig record for you -- however, are you are of info in Genealogical Index of Miami Valley Pioneers, which, at pg 128, describes the family of Joseph MULFORD (s/o Ezekiel), b. 1776 Cape May, NJ, who came to Warren Co, Oh circa 1802, d. 1833 Bedle's Station, m. 1802 Rhoda SMITH. Could be a relative. Miami Valley Gene. Index shows no marriages that early for anyone named Joseph Edwards, although there are later ones, and may not be the same person. http://www.ogs.org/asp/results1.asp The Warren County web site has marriages starting 1803. You might try church records for earlier years. http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohwarren/vitrec.htm Edna L. I sent out letters and did get a call for an interview, but since the bill was signed I don't know if I will hear from the reporter. I will keep sending. I found a site with all candidates for elections and sent out applications with my qualifications required to get my vote and I did get a few answers. >I have just received word that Ohio's biennial budget has been signed by >the Gov. Hannah & Joseph do not appear in Warren County Marriage records which start in 1803 when the county was established. 12. Uncertified Copies of Vital Records [1]
There was a good article in the Dayton Daily News several days ago on the Vital Records issue. See... http://www.daytondailynews.com/localnews/content/localnews/daily/0621certificate.html I believe I heard yesterday that Gov. Taft does have the power of the "line item veto". I plan on writing him today at Governor.Taft@das.state.oh.us, asking him to veto the portion of the bill that deals with uncertified copies of vital records. -- Dennis M. 13. RE: Howard Davis/Mary Ellen Griffiths (Jackson Co OH/Warren) [1]
Pat, Here are web sites that tell you where to find Warren Co. records. I hope you can go prior to July 1 as that's when the new prices go into effect. At the present time, most counties in Ohio offer UNCERTIFIED records for only $1 each and certified for $10. However, the $1 records will no longer be offered after the end of June, and the certified ones go up to $15. 15. [OHWARREN] Warren Co. vitals in GEDCOM files [1]
Just wanted to let everybody know, I took the birth and marriage data at http://www.co.warren.oh.us/genealogy/vitalsmain.htm and generated GEDCOM files out of it, posting these at http://GedcomLibrary.com/vitals.html and including the data in a comprehensive index at SortedByName.com for the benefit of researchers who do not know Aunt Nellie went to Ohio. GEDCOM files are importable into any genealogy software and readable by a variety of utilities. They are universally compatible. Tom Alciere

None that I see before 1860. Do you have any dates/spouses for the 3 children listed in the will of Jacob Schuyler below who died 10 May 1841? Do you know if Margaret Schuyler who married Nicholas Tiger is his daughter? The next probate entry that I see is for an Aaron Schuyler who died intestate on 28 Dec 1872. There is a long list of heirs listed in the abstract but nothing to indicate their relation to him. Curiously, the next entry in the abstract book is for a Jacob Schuyler with the same box num
