There is a township called Highland where the Stecker school was located. Broxton was in Hale township. Neither school is in operation now. He was the youngest child of Uriah Wilson Davis and Hannah Campbell who md 1 Apr 1843 in Haywood Co., NC. They moved first to Union Co., GA and all their children were born in GA. On the 1860 census they were in Gordon Co., GA. Wilson Davis's estate entered probate in Jan 1863 in Walker County, GA. In 1880 Bart and his mother Hannah were living with her sister Rebecca who had married Wilson's brother in Union Co., GA. Would like to contact descendants of Bart Davis.
