This is common with just about any request for public records and from
any state. Although I do believe they do search more than just the exact
date sent in.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this list and looking forward to
participating...
I am researching Henry Clay JONES, part Sac and Fox, born 1844 in Iowa,
and an interpretor for the Sac and Fox Indian Agency at Prague, OK.
Henry JONES ("Uncle Henry") married Sarah Elizabeth PENNY and adopted
her son Edwin. Sarah and Henry had William Henry JONES on 28 March 1871
on the OK reservation. William later became an anthropologist for the
Field Museum and was an expert in Algonquian linguistics.

background, but from an 1880 census, I found that my grgrf was born in
Alabama. I joined the AL-list but my best luck has been with hitting
every county query looking for the surname. I found a wom

Also, where would I write to get confederate pension records for a pension

Appreciate any help that you can give.

Hi Fellow Researchers,
I know the following has absolutely nothing to do with our research, and flame
me if you must, but there is a little 16 month old boy, named Jacob, who needs
