Childers, Silas 32 1/2 white ( census lists amount of white blood, not
amount of Indian blood ) He is living with the James and Rosa Childers
family and is listed as a nephew. Marriage status is very garbled and if I
had to guess, I would say he was a widower. He has no other family, although
most of the page is Childers. This census list birth as March 1868.

The 1890 Census does not list children or wives. But I searched for the name
Childers, but didn't find him.

Donna,
I subscribe to the OkGen list and saw that you have some resources from early OK. I have been trying for some time without much success to locate the family of my maternal grandfather, Lee Garfield Ramsey. He was born (depending on what source) either in MO or OK on 3 Dec 1896. He was placed in the Oklahoma Orphan Society in Guthrie, OK in 1903. He had two siblings, a sister named Eva , and a brother named Harry. I have never known the name of either of their parents.
The children were taken
