I remember going to that place when I was a very small child. My whole family went during the strawberry festival, because it was right next to a strawberry field. We would pick strawberries all day. I went down there last year, but couldn't find it. Is this the same place you are talking about? If so, I would love to know exactly where it is, and maybe make a roadtrip down that way. Thanks. I am on the genweb list and read your mail about the trail of tears and so
I guess I should have went ahead and given directions to get there. It's on country roads that aren't named on my map, but here's how to get there.
Start where Hwy 82 leaves US 62 in Tahlequah. Go about 5.5 miles. Hwy 82 makes a sharp turn to the west at this point. Continue going straight on the country road. The road zigzags around, but in about 3 miles you should find Moodys. Go 4 miles north from Moody's, turn right and go 1 mile, turn left and go about 1/2 mile. You should be there.

I grew up with a family by the same name of FLINK, one individual graduated with me by the given name of ... Sherry or (spelling variation) Shari from Austin, MN. If this family connection is the same and I can be of any help, I'd be more than happy to help.

Connie,
I don't know but it's very possible we are talking about the same place.
I"m getting some feedback but haven't quiet pinpointed it yet. Hopefully
before I make a trip that far, I will have a good indication. So far, I
understand it's about 10 miles NNE of Tahlequah. I've been told it's off
highway 82 just past Moody's. I don't see where highway 82 goes past
Moody's. Strawberry festival? Strawberry field? That's an added incentive
besides I would just love to return.
I'll keep you posted if I
I am on the genweb list and read your mail about the trail of tears and something about a list for native american ancestors. can you send me some info on that. I have a paticular reason for my curisity. My great grand mother, walked the trail of tears and survived. But because of the prejudice of the times, she denied and hid her heritage. I am trying to get it back now.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
