1. Re: [OKGEN-L] Guthrie [1]
Sharon I have a picture of a headstone of OKelley, the man that shot FORD, the guy that shot Jesse James. E. C. Okelley himself was shot down in a gunfight with the law in OKC. I won't be at the meeting in Guthrie, but if this something you might like I can email it to you. He is no relation of mine, I saw it while looking for my own family, drove 50 miles the next day just to take the picture. If you want it, let me know. The stone is really neat, front and back. Don
2. [OKGEN-L] Re: Introduction [1]
I just read a post that reminded me that I probably never have introduced myself. Duh!!!! I just started posting like crazy and never thought about it. I live in N. Central Texas now and I'm working on my degree in Early Childhood. In my spare time (ha), I try and work on genealogy. I am trying to find a Ray Forist Routh that was born in Long, OK in 1921. I don't know if he is deceased or not. Haven't found him on the SSDI, so he may not be. He came from a large family so there is a possibility that
3. Re: [OKGEN-L] Jack look what I found [1]
W. L., I'm sorry, I should've made myself more clear. I was forwarding that email message to Jack Childers. I just happened to see his surname CHILDERS, even though it was in Missouri I wanted to send to him. After all how many Childers could there be. It's not like some of my surnames like; SMITH (3 lines), JOHNSON (2 lines), BURNS and then I do have BREWER, SKELLY, McCRACKEN, McGOUGH, SINGER and I can't remember more right now. I appreciate your effort to help me. Sorry again, I will be more carefu
4. [OKGEN-L] Re: Ellen [1]
Don't feel bad. I have been trying to figure this out forever and I have changed the extension but when I try to "associate" it with a file, I still can't read it. I could put .rtf on the end of it until the cows come home and it doesn't do any good. LOL. Since I have a composite system, I don't have an operating manual. A friend put it together for me free and all I had to do was buy a few cables and such. So I guess I shouldn't complain. If it hadn't been for the friend, I wouldn't even have a compu
5. [OKGEN-L] Jesse LOVELL -- Found! [1]
Good news / bad news here. The good news is that thanks to a LOVELL cousin I've identified my mysterious Jesse LOVELL. He was Jesse Franklin LOVELL [1883-1936], son of Franklin Lovell and Nancy Pepple. The bad news is that he never married and had no children, so he's not going to provide a link to any of the other LOVELL researchers on this list. Ah, well -- we tried! Treva - what you see is the html coding for the page Jacque posted for her friend, Cindy Bou (cindyb@ida.net) In my email it was only listed as a link to her site without all the coding. 11. Re: [OKGEN-L] gTo everyone [1]
You know, it must be because the Holiday season that is causing people to be so crazy. I just got an email from a niece of mine that says her sister is living in a shelter because her boy friend is in jail. He beats the living daylights out of her and she keeps going back. Then calls family members to get him out of jail (she doesn't say that's what the money is for) but that's where it goes. Lena stay strong and remember things have to get better. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Ja
12. Re: [OKGEN-L] raccoons [1]
Jean here in FL we have a couple with helpers here that take in injured birds, animals, reptiles, etc until they are able to be released. They should not put them to sleep. Our people would take them out of the populated area and release them again if they were healthy. There is mote marine that takes in dolphins, whales etc and nurse them back to health then they are released. Lois L. Coffelt llc@exit33.com ICQ18565959

A status window will open and it will ping and pong and show some text. Then a channels window should popup. there you type in (if you don't already have this channel) #okgenweb and hit add. then highlight it in your list and hit the join button. Let me know if you need any more help... I will try to help. I will ask Sharon to help too.
15. [OKGEN-L] Recognizing the Savior [1]
Jacque, I loved The Letters. Ruth must have been related to my Lonnie. He would give everything he has to help someone in need. That's why WE are paying for so many people's hearing aids. :) It reminded me of this story. A group of religion instructors were taking a summer course on the life of the Savior and focusing particularly on the parable. When the final exam time came, the students arrived at the classroom to find a note that the exam would be given in another building across campus. Moreov
