My Buchannan/Buckhanan/Buchannon family changed their spelling so much
they are hard to trace. William Buchanan (m. 14 Jun 1874 West Fork,
Washington, AR) Susan Huddleston Williams Buchanan moved to Greer County
prior to 1900. They lived in the Lugert and Lone Wolf area and are
buried in un-marked graves in a cemetery at the foot of some mountain.
William "Bill" BUCHANAN was born abt. 1844. He died after 1910 Census.
He was living in his son-in-laws home in Milburn, Johnston, Ok at that

I just came across something else which I have, if it is of interest to
you all, a listing of all the markers in the Willow Cemetery, arranged
both alphabetically and 'geographically'. Carolyn Post compiled and
edited it. I'm not sure when it was actually put together, but my copy
reports that it was printed June 10, 1998.
You can also get a copy for yourself from the Willow Community

Mostly interested in the general history of Old Greer County and have some
indexes, now online at

Also interested in William Stearns MAPLES, a cousin to my great-grandmother

These are all members of my mother's family. I have fairly extensive
information on them back to the 1870's in the case of the Czech/Moravian
families (Dudek, Rus, Hubacek, Tatyrek), and further back on the others

involved in something else and cannot put all the details online, but I
hope to do so soon. Meanwhile, if anyone has any questions, I will do

My G-Grandparents, John W HALL and Nervesta V COLDIRON lived in Greer Co at
least in 1906/7. They divorced in Greer Co in 1907 and sometime later, in
1909 Nervesta married a G W GARRISON, but I don't know where. Then in 1928
Nervesta married ADKERSON.
I do know Nervesta is buried in the Sayre-Doxie Cemetery.
