I am looking for any connections to a McRee family out of TN, that settled in and around the Haskell area. Children of William & Sarah McRee are: John Thomas McRee b: 1858 b: in Obion Co. TN. , I have most of this line, it includes, McRee's, Rumseys, Guinn, Willifords. Hello, all - If anyone has a cemetery book for HAskell County, I would appreciate a lookup on a Dessie (or Jessie) Bevill WADE, b. 2/3/1874 d. Feb. 1971 and married to A.M. WADE on 2/3/1891. There was a really bad mine explosion in Mar 22 1912. He isn't on the list of those who died that day, 73 in all, but Spradlin is not a name on my list. Check my cemetery listings on our Genealogical Society Web site at http://mccurtain_2.tripod.com/. No, don't find that name. I plan to put this list online after the new year. There were some other explosions that caused loss of life, but the 1912 one is all I have here right now. I am also looking for someone who might be buried in Haskell Co., OK. My great grandfather was Charles (Charlie) Spradlin and died around 1912. He had been a coal miner and might have died from "black lung" disease. At least three of his five children were born in Haskell County, OK. Barb, Would you please check your list on the miner's that were killed in the explosion. I'm looking for a male McRee, that was killed in a cole mine accident. I've been searching AR. but have found nothing as of yet. But they were in Haskell Co. in the early 1900's. The name could be spelled McRee or McCree. Tks, Bren
