Hi List,
My father was also b at home in Howe, OK 1922, as well as all of his
siblings & none of them had a b cert. The story is the same for my mom's
family of 13 all b in AR. They all have since gotten a delayed b cert. I too
was b at home on Bayou Meta by Doc Eagle Bridge in Lonoke Co, AR but unlike
the others, I did get a b cert when I was b. So I'm

My family is part of the Tankersley family. There was a book written in
Garland Co. Ar. concerning that family.
There are numerous one's there. Try the Garland Co. Historical
Society. Sharon
Anyone have info on Page Cemetery? Looking for my Sarah P. (McAdory) Hickman
and her husband William Austin Hickman, supposedly both buried there (late
1800s). Thanks!

Hello, group.
Several of you asked for lookups in the Panama High School and Wilburton
College in the 1940s.
I have lost all my computer correspondence! But none of the lookups were
productive, so I'm just sending a blanket message to the group. If you were
one of those who contacted me, I did not find your surname listed.
Again, this was a very small sampling of names from a tiny area in LeFlore.
I will transcribe the class listings and post them for you all.
Also, I have lost the addy for th
Just being curios, Suzy, I looked in the Hardin Co, TN. cemetery book to
see how many Tankersley's were buried there.... I only found 3.
There used to be a lady who worked at the Central National Bank in
Poteau by the married name of Tankersley... This was several years ago,
and if I am not mistaken they lived on the 112 highway....out of Poteau.

I am looking for information on George Smith and his wife Mary Jane
Mooneyham. They married in Fort Smith Ark about 1890. They may have lived
around Cameron and also in Sebastian County Ark. Mary Jane/Molly may have
died early on and George had a second wife. I have Mooneyham information
that I will share.

Does anyone have a list of the superintendents or Methodist ministers
who were at the New Hope School, Academy, or College (not sure which it
was) located near Spiro and the years they were there?
Will appreciate any information on this.

Suzy,
Just wanted to say thanks for the gedcom file you sent. I was very
surprized to find that my Great Grandfather served as Deputy to Judge
Parker. Is there any way to find more information about him? I know that
he died in 1875 at the age of 33 but I don't know how or where, perhaps
he was killed by Outlaws or Indians? Here's what I found in the file,
Houston was his middle name and he was born in Monroe County, Tennessee
in 1842. Thank You Very Much, Marvin

children and her marriage record to
I will have to read that more thoroughly. I know the N. camr thru Ar. and
collected as many able bodied men as they could. They had 2 choices. Join or die.
I have read a little on the subject from other sources, but will go and read
that thoroughly. Sharon
