1. [[OLEARY]] Re: [[OLEARY]] Re: [[OLEARY]] Patrick O'Leary m. Mary Ann FLAVELL, Toronto to Rochester [1]
Sorry, David, but I have _no_ information about the O'LEARYs beyond what I posted. They were not my ancestors per se, but the family into which my step-great-great aunt, Mary Ann FLAVELL, married. Because Mary Ann's father was my great-grandfather, I am actually trying to trace Patrick and Mary Ann's descendants in Rochester, New York. Best wishes in your search, Alison On 8/20/02 6:36 PM, "David McHugh" wrote: > I know that the oleary name is very common, but your ancestor

3. [[OLEARY]] Re: [[OLEARY]] Patrick O'Leary m. Mary Ann FLAVELL, Toronto to Rochester [1]
I know that the oleary name is very common, but your ancestors seem to be from an area of canada that i am trying to research. My wife's grandmother married (Francis J Oleary born 1868 or 69 in Belleville Hastings County,Ont. Canada) in or near Belleville, Ontario around 1886 and moved to Tacoma, Wash.in 1890. Her maiden name was Susan Ohagen. and she was born in Belleville, in 1865. My info to date is very sketchy and a Hannah O:leary may have been his mother.
4. [[OLEARY]] Re: OLEARY/REGAN NY [1]
Good Evening Patrick J. and thank you for the kind words. My HD crashed last year, and I lost all my saved O'Leary notes as well as several other family lines. But I have learned from it...:-) Refresh my mind a bit about your O'Learys and I'll see if anything new has turned up in the past couple of years. I've developed another small O'Leary line due to a marriage of a 'cousins' cousin! As if things weren't confusing enough already. But this last Mary O'Leary/Regan has been a real heart breaker
5. [[OLEARY]] Re: [[OLEARY]] O'Leary/Regan NY [1]
Good Evening, Pat Procida This is Patrick J. It has been a while since I have seen your signature on line. We have had some correspondence with each other some time back (must be at least a couple of years now). Also tracing the O'Leary line, I do believe our parties did not cross paths at all. But that's the way it goes. It was just good to know you are still up and around, and if I need some assistance, I know you will be there. Guten Nach Patrick J. 6. [[OLEARY]] Patrick O'Leary m. Mary Ann FLAVELL, Toronto to Rochester [1]
On 17 July 1886, Mary Ann FLAVELL married Patrick O'Leary in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mary Ann was born in 1865, to John FLAVELL and Anne nie GILMORE. John & Anne were married at the Drumcree parish CofI church in March 1858, before emigrating to Toronto. Patrick O'Leary was born in 1866, to John & Margaret O'Leary. John & Margaret had emigrated from Ireland, but we do not know from where precisely. The O'Leary family was R.C. After they married, Patrick and Mary Ann moved to Rochester, New York, USA
7. [[OLEARY]] Re: [[OLEARY]] Re: Patrick & Mary in Rochester, NY [1]
Thank you so much, Terry, for posting this data. I wouldn't be so hasty in discounting this lot as "my" O'LEARYs... "My" Patrick & Mary Ann were married in 1886... Mary Ann may well have emigrated to New York before the actual date of her marriage... And the Fitzmorris brother-in-law may have been Patrick's rather than Mary Ann's... On the other hand, if this is a census return (1900) and this Patrick stated that he'd been married 10 years, that's four years off the 1886 marriage documented for "our" P

Oh, you've rought up an interesting connection that may tie to my brick wall. I ave an O'Leary Kane connection that begins in Cork. My GGGParents were Daniel Kane (spelling changes to encompass every possible variety) who married Julia Dugan. Thier daughter Mary Kane was born in Cork in 1858. The family had other children, including at least: Daniel, Dennis and Julia. Not sure the last were born in Cork. They immigrate to South Wales, GLA and MON. Mary Kane married Michael Leary in 1875 Rhymney, T

11. [[OLEARY]] Re: Leary(O'Leary)/Regan(Reagan) [1]
Hi Maureen, I know how you feel, I have enough brick walls to build a house of my own! Sometimes it feels like I am building the Winchester Mystery House (a California landmark). My Tim O'Leary and family, all of Glounacloghy/Gloutnaw, Drimoleage, Cork, etc. are easier to deal with than the daughter Mary who came to NY and married a Regan. However, Tim (Leary) O'Leary married a Kate Regan who was born abt. 1839. They had eight children including my GM who was born 11/24/1876. Of interest in this
12. [[OLEARY]] O'Leary/Regan NY [1]
Looking for Mary O'LEARY REGAN, born in Drimoleague, Cork, IRL c. abt. 1868, who was married to _______Regan and lived and died in NY sometime after 1927. Have searched unsuccessfully (for 10 yrs) for her in Elmira, where family history placed her. Recently heard from a grand nephew that he remembers taking the train to Yonkers to visit her, when he was a small child. So I am starting over. :-( I will be happy to share family info with anyone related to O'Learys or Regans of New York or vicinity.

I realize this does not match your family. It was just a chance lookup. So I typed it up anyway....maybe someone else will recognize them. I am not related to this O'leary.
