Jean,
Take the Pacific Hwy exit in Salem. At Portland Road turn right and go
down to the light. You will want to get into the left lane, before you get
to the light. Make a left hand turn, technically a U turn, which is legal
there, and go to the Church on the right. The cemetery is behind the
church. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the road.
Happy Hunting.

I have just updated my website. There are new names and some confirmed dates

Please stop by and see if your surnames (s) might be there. Please sign the

I think you are speaking of the Halbert Baptist Church, it might help to have
the name of the church. The street where the u turn is done at is Hyacinth.
The cemertery is behind the church and somewhat hard to spot from the road.

Hello Kathy,
Yes I remember you. It is my wife that is your cousin. She is descended
from Reason, a son of Abraham and Nancy SARGENT. I'm not sure how the exact
relationship would be listed. I will gladly send you whatever I get.
Have you ever heard of Jean Kelly or "Where Do You Come From" by Norman
Pierce? They were also referenced as sources. I found all of this in a
search of RootsWeb WorldConnect. Most of what I found was sent in by people
researching other families and the ADAMS and SARGENT i

Hi Laura,
You put out such good information. All the old newspapers are on microfilm
at the Knight Library at the University of Oregon. The Archives does not
have them. They can be interlibrary loaned as I have done it many times.
Oregon State University (Valley Library) has the federal records such as
census for Oregon and the BIA records for the U.S. They include birth,
death, and census records for the Indian tribes of America plus a lot of
other material.

Most of the time these e-mail requests are hoaxes. They want a list of as
many e-mail addresses as they can get to use for spam lists.
Below are some sites that fill you in on some of the more common ones.

I need your help!
I'm looking for the obituary and any other information on Deward Bert
DANIELS who died in Woodburn, Oregon in Sept. 1983. I know that he was born
6 Feb 1917 probably in Ohio and was in the Air Force stationed in Washington
State and later in Nebraska. I'm not sure when he moved to Oregon, but that
is where he died. Don't know his wife's first name, but he had two
step-daughters Lana and Julie.
I appreciate any assistance you can provide.
Thanks,
Shelley
