Hi Dena, I am sorry but I did not locate a death notice, funeral notice or obituary for Michael M. Kleyn. I looked in The Oregonian from the day after his death, September 17 through September 26th. I was surprised not to see it there. Do you know which mortuary handled his funeral? Maybe they might have an obituary amongst his papers. Or check with the cemetery, if there is one. I am sorry. Hello Jan, I looked in the microfiche at the library and it does mention Elijah Hawkins and his death date, but it didn't mention a newspaper or an obituary. I looked in The Morning Oregonian on the day he died, September 26, 1908 and the day he was buried, Sunday September, 27th. I also looked September 28th and 29th. I did not locate an announcement of any kind. Did you check with Metro Pioneer Graves, to see if they have anything? I sent you the information in another message. http://www.metro-region.
