I am re-typing a document from about 1945-1955 that claims that our
ancestory was French. It's apparently from some correspondance from
someone in Kentucky with a French genealogist. I never included it
in past Sketches, but will likely do it for the next one.
Does anyone have a record of who were the participants in this
correspondance?

I've posted before looking for info on Susan O'Rear Totten with no information with which to go on...however, I just obtained the 1910 census from Yolo County and it lists Susan O'Rear as having been 36 years old and born in California. Her father _____ O'Rear was listed as having been born in Minnesota. So, I'm guessing the
time frame for that would be 1840s-1850s?
Does anyone have any O'Rears out of Minnesota, mid-1800s? I don't have a chance to hit the NARA very often and I only had an hour yest

Is the document entitled "The Orre' (Oree or Orea) Family"? If so, then it
may have been written by either Judge E. C. O'Rear or his
Sounds interesting - I would assume that the person in Kentucky was E.C.O. II.
