Hello,
Does anyone where the town of Hildebrand got it's name? The Brewer's who
settled in Fort Klamath were related to a Hillebrand family in Texas. In
Texas the name was spelled HILLEBRAND, HILLDEBRAND, or HILLDEBRANDT. Several
related famiies came to Klamath Co., some Warren's and Click's included but I
wionder if these Hildebrand's were related.

Anne,
I found the story about Dan McEnerny's death in Korea. I also checked additional
papers for a funeral notice or second obituary, but did not find one. If you give
me your address, I'll put the article in the mail.

When I filed out the form and clicked send I got this message from Angelfire.
Missing: One Home Page.
Actually, we couldn't find the page you requested. Please check the URL.
A mariage license was issued in Klamath County to the following:
BOWDOIN, J.A., and HUDSON, Mrs. E.M., Dec. 24, 1896.
(the date indicates the license was issued, not the date the marriage
occurred).
A copy of the marriage paperwork can be requested from the Klamath County
Clerk, 305 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601. The clerk charges 10 cents per
page (I think there are two pages), but the friendly genealogist may want to
send a nominal payment for doing the lookup.

CJ,
If you would like, give us your aunt's name and someone can check the Klamath
County cemetery directory.

I have on my desk some clippings and copies that I don't know what to do
with. I retrieved them for someone who had submitted lookup requests,
but I don't know if these copies ever made it to the person who asked
for them. (I've got an organizational challenge here.)
The subjects of these copies are as follows:
- RAMBO family (family history article)
- Charles L. WAHL (obit)
If anyone is interested in these copies, let me know.

FYI,
I scanned the Oregon death index and found nothing on WORLEY or WEHRLE that
seemed to be a match. I also scanned through the Klamath Falls Evening Herald
for November and December 1923, and found nothing (although by chance the
search did turn up a rather obscure news story that another Klamath researcher
was hoping to find someday).
Hilt, I believe, is located on the old Southern Pacific line between Yreka,
Calif., and Ashland, Ore. (Jackson County). Have you inquired in that county?
Perhaps something
Thank you. She was Grace Chentille - and before that Willard. Her maiden name
was Burns. My mother's cousin, Eugenia Iszler still lives in Klamath Falls- she
will be 90 in July. I have the year of Aunt Grace's death - 1961, but do not
have the full date.Eugenia said she was buried in Klamath Falls and I want to
verify that and get the full date.

Just keep trying, it will work, I tested them all before telling any one.

I had an uncle that was killed in the Korean war, 1953. I am wondering if
anyone would know if there were obituaries for those who were killed in a war?
If there are would someone do an obit lookup for me? I am looking for the
obituary of Charles Daniel McEnerny, died May 22, 1951, in Korea.
Many thanks,
