I am looking for any information on the Odd Fellows Home School. Some of my ancestors were placed there from about 1908-1915 after the death of their mother so I am assuming it was a temporary foster home of sorts. Does anyone know of any place that has the history and/or photo's of this school/home? Thank you.

Would love to receive any kind of information about Dora Bessler from Portland OR. She was born Dora Eaton in Jan 1892, daughter of James and Pattie(Coulter) Eaton in KY. She married Clair Bessler. She died April 22 1936. She had two brothers and a sister, James Eaton, William Eaton ( died 1960 in Baker OR) and sister Dollie Eaton. I would really like to have her obit if someone would like to look it up for me.
Why are we getting mortgage ads on this list? Just wondering.

Does anyone on this list know where medical records for Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR are archived? I would like to get a copy of the info that was recorded at the time of my birth, OCTOBER 15, 1941. The reply to my request for this info was "Birth record too long ago for us to have a record". Are they archived, destroyed or on micro fiche somewhere?
Any help would be appreciated.

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Walter HARMER which was taken at the
Frank G. Abell Studio in Portland, Oregon. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1880's with Walter likely about 6 years old at the time.
I'm hoping to locate someone from his family so that this wonderful old
photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this
HARMER Family, or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
Thanks very much!

New to this list, I'd like to ask how to find an obit and obtain a copy of the record for:
Helena A. SEWARD whose death record was found on the Oregon Death Index - Multnomah County, 17 Apr 1962, age 77, record #5187
Thanks much,
Evelyn in Maine
When I called (years ago) they told me the records had been stored in the basement of the hospital and all all the records suffered water damage and were destroyed. If you are looking for your birth record, the Multnomah county records office will allow you a copy of your original birth certificate now.

Scott,
Did anyone step forward to help you with these obits? Have you tried
RAOGK.com to find a volunteer?
I get to the Multnomah County library in Portland once in a while and could
look these up for you, but I can't promise when that will be.

Does anyone know if the Multnomah Co. Library has an obituary look-up
service? I need to retrieve an obituary from April 14, 2006 for a Carl
F. Aarnio (reported in the Obituary Daily Times).
Would appreciate a pointer to a source to find this obiutary.
Thanks so much,
JB Wilson :-)

I have been researching a family that is not a direct line but would like to just finish up a few things about. If anyone out there has been researching the same family I'd love to hear from you.
