I discoverd that my great grandfather Meredith Leonard Stuart/Stewart and his siblings Susan A Stuart/Stewart and John Stuart/Stewart in the early 1860's were left with neighbors in Indiana and were then given to the poormaster who farmed them out. My greatgrandfather Meredith Leonard was given to the McCullough family who gave him the nickname of Charley. I don't know who ended up with John and Susan. Is there any way of finding records or who the other families were that took in the other kids? I know t

Hi All I am new to this list so apologies if it goes wrong ! I am reasearching my G Grandfather John Thomas Robinson who was admitted to Swinton Industrial school in 1872 and discharged in 1880. He was born (i think) in Crumpsall Workhouse in Jan 1867 and if this is my G Grandfather his mother Sarah Robinson died whilst giving birth to him in the workhouse.
