Hi everyone, I am trying to find details on my wife's great grandfather, who lived in Philadelphia PA, and was wondering if anyone could lend a hand- the man's name was Edward McBride, and he lived in Fishtown PA. He was a taxi cab driver, and apparently at some point between 1920 and 1930, he'd hit 2 girls on Delaware Ave and either seriously wounded or killed both of them. He unfortunately went crazy after this event (who wouldn't). Her family has very little info on the man, and I am pretty sure that

I am a bit surprised that after a record number of messages for the month of November, I haven't been able to find any correspondence on this site for the month of December. I noticed a request dated Nov 30, 2008, from a person asking us to "tag" back if we wanted to be their friend. I personally ignored that message and now I don't know if I can't access the messages or if everyone is too busy to be concerned with Mount Moriah Cemetery. Hey Jim, the official boundaries of Fishtown are disputed, please see history of Fishtown at www.aoh51fishtown.com/id19.htm.? Basically, Fishtown is a river or port ward and was so named for the fishing industry.?It is a close-knit working neighborhood. The neighborhood runs all along the Delaware River.? If you take the Girard ave exit of I-95?you will go through Fishtown. St. Anne's is a Roman Catholic church in the area.(Kensington/fishtown). ?That might be where your wife's?relative was living. Hi Bonnie Welcome to the group. I found the page you are referring to, and I apologize for the bad links. I will find those photos this evening and correct the errors. I do not recall there being any name except Baker on the mausoleum, but I will double check. I did check the GSP database and there are 123 Baker's listed - ironically, none of them appear in section 201, which is where that mausoleum is, if I recall correctly. Again, I will confirm this evening. If you can provide more details abo
