I did call Mt. Moriah, myself, within the past 2 months and the woman who
answered the phone was very nice but referred me to the Hist.Pa and
Gen.Pa.....tho she did send a printed sheet with the info for contacting those 2
societies.

Kathy,
Two years ago I called Mt. Moriah and asked if they could send me info on the lot my ancestor was buried in and because I had the lot # etc and the death date they said to just send the request to them in writing and include $25 and they would accomodate, which they did. Twenty five dollars is a lot, but I had no chance of going to Philadelphia myself and I needed this info to continue with this family line. Try calling them yourself, tell them what you have and see what happens.

Mount Moriah won't give you info anymore.
Even if you send them a check. They refer everyone to GSP.....some nonsense about being too busy to do look ups.
It's amazing they bother to bury people anymore since it's so much work.
That place makes me sick!

Just a clarification - the database was transcribed by many volunteers,
but is managed by a single person. Due to the nature of the handwriting
on many of the documents, however, errors are bound to be found.

Kathy,
Both answers you received seem to have the Genealogical Society of PA as their source for the Mt. Moriah responses.
It should be noted that the GenPA dB is good but NOT very trustworthy. It was completed by one individual and that person has joined the dB as a permanent resident. This makes corrections, at this time nearly impossible. . . and they are most certainly needed. So the two answers you just received are not the last word.$x,88,x$:0`0:$x,88 Warren von Uffel 88,x$:0`0:$x,88,x$
LARRY,
Be more specific. That range of lots adds up to over a 1,000 burials. Surely you are not interested in all of them. You are fishing!

Hello,
I am trying to help a friend whose great grandparents are buried at Mount
Moriah.
Is it possible to search the database by the lot number?
His great grandmother's name does not appear in the index online but he did
get this information when he visited Mt Moriah:
Louisa CLARKE SECTION 35 LOT 149 se 1/4 grave north line
They refused to give him any information on anyone buried with Louisa--we
are hoping there might be some clues if we could get the names of everyone
buried in this lot. Also
Good evening, Larry -
I put together all that I could find for Section 102, Lots 1 thru 10 - please see the attached Excel spreadsheet. In some cases the database had multiple identical entries for the same individual - I removed the duplication. In the case of the SLEETH and HUNTER stillborn babies, I went to the on-line LDS Philadelphia Death Certificate listing to find the parents names reflected in NOTES - there was no listing that I could find for the BOWEN stillborn baby.
Regards,
Tedd

Kathy,
I just followed my own advice and searched the Mt. Moriah dB using section #35 only . . . there were no CLARK or CLARKE listed.
I then did the same using the lot #149 as the search query. . .again, no hits on CLARK or CLARKE.
Sorry, but you are out of luck from the dB standpoint.$x,88,x$:0`0:$x,88 Warren von Uffel 88,x$:0`0:$x,88,x$

Kathy,
The dB has no Louisa CLARKE or CLARK as an entry anywhere. The stated section and lot #'s only have four burials listed; 1 Romanoff and 3 Shaws.
