I located a family member, now over 95, who attended funeral ceremonies of my grandparents / aunts / uncles.... at Mount Moriah Cemetery. (her names matched my records) I also have a copy of records from the funeral director showing family members were buried at Mount Moriah. BUT.... databases have no records of the Bealmear family at Mount Moriah..... and no stones found to date So strange....... BUT.... names are often spelled wrong. The census has our name spelled different each year. Best o
4. Re: [PA-PHILA-MOUNT-MORIAH-CEMETERY] Help locating grave [1]
Thanks so much! The 4th one is the one I was looking for for Jane McKnight, I have her death date as December 17, 1909; however Samuel isn't either of the ones listed. Perhaps I have the wrong death date (or the wrong person). I have April 4, 1898. I might have to visit there and see if I can find their graves. Thank you again for the help, it is greatly appreciated. Jane > From: warrenvon@msn.com > To: pa-phila-mount-moriah-cemetery@rootsweb.com > Date: Sat, 4 Jul 2009 07:39:26 -0400 > Subject: Re: [PA-P

8. Re: [PA-PHILA-MOUNT-MORIAH-CEMETERY] Help locating grave [1]
I checked the death records again and found I had the wrong death record for Samuel, number 8 is him. All the other McKnights in that plot are related to Jane and Samuel in some way, I haven't linked the other 3 into my tree yet, but I assume they are also related. Are those 10 people the only ones buried in that plot? Hello. How does one do a lookup for the Mt Moriah Cemetery? I would like to find information on any/all persons with the surname of TAYLOR, and I am just getting started. I am looking for a brother of my grandfather named William Wright Taylor, who died in 1875 at the age of 5, and I'm curious to know who else might be buried there who could be related. William also had a sister, Kate Hoffman Taylor, who died in 1868, at the age of 2, but I don't know yet where she is buried. Could they be together?

Thank you Tedd, though it turned out I had the wrong Samuel McKnight (mine died 11/20/1899) so this isn't the one I'm looking for, though most likely he is somehow related to me. 17. Re: [PA-PHILA-MOUNT-MORIAH-CEMETERY] Lookup [1]
Hi Tedd, Thank you, I was hoping to find more of my McKnights with her, but guess not, perhaps they'll turn up somewhere else. I found her death record while researching the Minks buried in the South Philly Trinity Lutheran cemetery and it has a different maiden name for the mother, Anderson instead of Gray, than what was on her mother's death record. Now I need to track down the rest of the siblings to figure this out. :) Jane > Date: Sun, 19 Jul 2009 00:44:12 +0000 > From: teecee62@comcast.net > To:

I'm curious if anyone still uses the website, I have tried twice to sign up on it and keep getting errors and no email to activate, then tells me to contact admin when I try to login. Jane This website: http://mountmoriahcemetery.org/ is still active, but it is not being used to post new information. I have been working on a new website that will allow registered users to add their own database entries and/or edit existing ones. It has been a work in progress, and since I have been delayed with selling my house and buying a new one, the transition has been a slow one. However, most of the infrastructure in the new site is in place for anyone to use. For those who are interested, the

Hi Kate. If you are not listed as a user on the new site http://mountmoriah.info/ , you will need to register as this is a new website. I am looking into ways of importing all of the users but they have not all been done yet; if you wish to wait until that time that is fine. All of the information you have contributed will be posted in the new website, photos included. My reasons for doing this are because I can no longer manage the amount of information about MM myself. By creating a website that allo

Hang in there with the houses! I've been emptying and fixing up my mother's house in Glenside to sell for almost 12 months so I'm full of sympathy. The good news is that the market is rebounding some. When I get my life back I look forward to having time for genealogy - and helping you transcribe those old burial register
