Hello Jalil,
You don''t state what years they might have worked there. Perhaps approx
dates might help. Also, have you tried the Railroad Retirement Board?
I'm not sure if Pullman falls into that category, but you can contact
them via their website and check.
Best wishes,

Hello - oral history states that Egbert and his son were Pullman porters for
the Pennsylvania Railroad. They lived in Pittsburgh, PA. Is there someplace
or someone to whom I may write to verify or refute this information.
Thanks

Dear SKS,
Trying to find out the reason my Gr-grandfather up and left Idaho to come
east to Erie, PA 1920. Can you help on this puzzle?
I am researching my gr-grandafther Charles Henry PERRY who lived at 1147
W. 27th Street. Erie, Pa in the 1920 Federal Census. Charles was an
Electrical Construction Supervisor and following his work at the first
hydroelectric plant on the Snake River in Idaho (Swan Falls - 1910), he
travelled to Erie, PA for work there circa 1918 (when his third child was
born in Erie.
Is there any information anywhere on the Unity Branch railroad? My
grandfather and great uncles were all employed by them for many years.

Gloria,
I am interested in your posting (below) to the PA Railroads list for the following reason. The great grandfather of my daughter's husband, an engineer for the railroad, was killed in a railroad accident in Sunbury, Pa. in 1906 and I'm finding it difficult to find out anything about it.
Did you recieve any responses indicating a source for railroad records? If so, would you mind sharing them with me? I'd gratefully appreciate any info along those lines.
Thank you,

Hello Elissa,
Thank you for the response. I wasn't sure whether or not GE was there as
early as the 1920's, so that is helpful. As their place of residence was
very near the RR depots and as Charles Henry PARRY *also* went on to
supervise the electrical portion of the Cleveland Terminal Building in
1930 - I also cross referenced this e-mail to the PA-Railroads list.
I am waiting...waiting...waiting... to hear from the Consumer Relations
Dept of the Railroad Retirement Board to see if there was any conne
