1. "Unlocking Your Past 2005" Speakers schedule now posted [1]
Dear PAADAMS er's, A few weeks ago we posted an announcement about an event called "Unlocking Your Past 2005", a FREE Family History Event being held in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on March 16th through the 18th. At that time, our website was only partially complete and did not have information about the schedule of speakers, their topics and other event activities. That defect has now been remedied. If you go to the website, look on pages 3 and 4 for the event schedule, and on page 6 are pictures of the
2. ZIEGLER family in Idaville, Adams Co./records of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Idaville [1]
Dear Adams Co. Listers, If some kind soul out there could help me out with the following, I'd be very grateful. My g-g-grandfather, Abram Ziegler, born 2 Sept 1820 or 1821, says he was born in Cumberland Co., only it appears that in fact he was the son of one David Ziegler, born 1790, and buried at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Idaville, which is just sorta over the county line from Cumberland Co. (A few years ago I taxed everyone's patience in Cumberland Co. List with the search for my Zieglers from Mars.

5. Re: Andrew Keffer - Alwine - Yake - Hemler [1]
Notice Andrew married Margaret Elizabeth Alwine daughter of Samuel Alwine and Susan Stormbaugh/Stormbach Also, Mary Yake, which I think is a sister to John Francis Yake who married Anna "Annie" Mary Alwine. Also, there are Adams County Hemler's married into the Hermanus Arnold and Catharine Allwein descendants. So I think somehow all three wifes are connected some how. The only one I know of is Margaret Alwine. Does anyone have any information on this? Nancy Adams County News, Gettysburg, Pennsyl

Also, the Adams County Historical Society has a reference system by surname. You may want to contact them ( _www.achs-pa.org_ (http://www.achs-pa.org) ) for additional information on Berkheisers.

10. Christ Episcopal Church [1]
Also commonly known as the White Church. Are there any records of burial in the cemetery? I am looking for a John Smith d: 1785 and his wife Margaret who died later, perhaps being buried in the Christ Episcopal Cemetery. Were there any other churches in that area, at that time period? After doing some research, there doesn't seem to be much except wilderness in Huntington County, at that time. Where would I find the above information? Thank You Judy Smith/Colorado

13. Re: [PAADAMS] ZIEGLER family in Idaville, Adams Co./records of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Idaville [1]
According to "The Churches of Adams County PA" by Charles H. Gladfelter (1981) there is no Zion (or Mt. Zion) Lutheran Church in Idaville. There is the Idaville United Methodist Church, from about 1850, and the Idaville United Brethren in Christ Church, dating to about 1896. In "Cemeteries of Cumberland County:" by Bob Davidson (2000), there is a Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and adjacent cemetery in Goodyear, Cumberland County, built in 1868. Maybe someone else on the List can be of further help. Anne
