Thanks

I know there are several books about Adams County, but I am looking for a
specific book and hoping to find it at a local historical society or library.
I need: Title, editor, edition, date, etc..
I have misplaced my copy of the title page and need to look up more
information.
I have page 17.
At the top: "HISTORY OF ADAMS COUNTY"
"The first paragraph begins with: Behold the magnitude of the results,
and the paucity of means."
------------------
"CHAPTER V."
Any help appreciated in finding more information on my John Smith.
John Smith was living in Huntington Township prior to March of 1784 when his will was written. He was married to Margaret ?, and children named in his will are: son - George, son - John, daughter Eleanor, wife of Robert Crawford, daughter Elizabeth, wife of James Smith, and Hugh Smith. There may have been another son William, who predeceased his father John. They may have lived elsewhere before 1777 when Margaret was confirmed at Christ
Sue,
I believe it is a History of Cumberland and Adams Counties,
Pennsylvania, published by Warner, Beers & Co., 1886.
A portion of that book is online here:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/adams/area.htm , and some of the
biographies from it can be found at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/adams/bios.htm .
I wiill send the title page to your personal email address.

While visiting the Piqua, Ohio library, I found an Ilustrated
Historical Atlas of
Miami County Ohio, printed 1873.
I thought a member of our list was researching the KITCHEN
family and this bio caught my eye as Henry was born in Adams Co PA.
Here is a synopsis of the short bio on Henry Kitchen.
I am not related to this family, just sharing some information.
Henry KITCHEN, b. Oct 16, 1797, Adams Co., PA.
Henry emigrated to Ohio in 1819.
Henry settled in Piqua, Washington Twp., Miami County, Ohio May 1,
