Have you checked Orphan Court Records and Tax records? If he had young children and owned property, a guardian would have been appointed by the courts (not his wife). Tax records can tell you what year he disappeared from the records. Obituaries at that time consisted only of the date of death, they did not mention wives or children.

Looking for information on Mary D. Kennedy.
My entire knowledge on her is that she married William E. Harvey
Was born about July 1853. Died after 1930. William and Mary were owners of a farm in Independence Twp.

I am working on the THOMAS surname from Beaver Co., PA.
I descend from Louisa Jane THOMAS born Nov. 11, 1838 and I am trying to find
her parents and siblings.
In the 1850 census for Greene Twp. I found Louisa J. living in the household

The only other THOMAS surnames in Greene Twp. are:

Sorry to have to tell you there were no marriages for either name in my
collection. Have you explored the Beaver County Genealogical Society (BCGS)
site?
If not, here's the email: http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabecgs/. They will do
look-ups in the Carnegie Library in Beaver for a small fee. Good luck.

Listmembers,
Yesterday I found a book @ my local library entitled "Google Hacks", which
refers to the search engine Google. In it was referenced the google "images"
which may be searched by entering:
images.google.com/
It's overwhelming - I found 1500 photos, obits, family crests & much more by
entering just one family surname. There's enough there to keep us busy for
weeks to come, and I haven't even tried out the "advanced image search".
Have fun.

The Research Center for Beaver County (Carnegie Library) has tax record copies 1803-1840. They were indexed by Helen Clear several years ago and books were printed but they are now out of print. Contact the BCGS to do a search for you.

Hi everyone!
I have an obituary that lists the place of burial as St. Joseph's Cemetery, Center Township. From the Beaver County Archives page off of the Diocese of Pittsburgh website, I found that St. Joseph's merged with St. Titus in Aliquippa and kept the name of St. Titus.
The website said St. Joseph's was in West Aliquippa. Does anyone know the exact location of St. Joseph's Cemetery? Is it near St. Titus? Since the two merged, is it now St. Titus Cemetery?
Thanks,
Kelly
According to Parish Records of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Wall Rose,
Beaver County these two were married 10 Aug 1848 with Jame Bockle and Alex Maas as
withesses.
